This is a good place to go if you are already doing something else in downtown. Not really worth a trip just to visit the park. On a hot day the kids can get wet with the fountains, in the evenings you can sit and watch the musical fountains and have a picnic. There is plenty of green space and it is always kept up pretty nice. Not too many trees for shade so I wouldn't go when it is real hot. In Winter there is a nice but pretty small, ice skating rink which is a bit different. Fun outdoors activity for the kids and I don't think it costs too much.

So the restaurant looks a little shady from the name and the outside, but inside this is a great place to go! Besides... some of the shadiest looking restaurants have the best tasting food! The food is fairly decent priced. It is not just a seafood restaurant, but that is the main focus. Highly recommend having their crab cakes or their crab cake po' boy. They are not dry and just taste awesome. They have a large selection of alcoholic beverages to choose from. They even have oyster shooters. However, I'm not an oyster fan so I do not know how they are. I have been told they are very unique in flavor. This is a great place to just hang out with some friends and have some good food and good drinks!

This hotel is modern, artsy, and very upscale. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The staff is great and very knowledgeable about the area. Plus, little perks like a pool table in the lounge and the fitness center are just awesome. The location is also perfect because it's minutes from the MARTA station, directly across the street from the High Museum of Art, and located in Midtown with tons of surrounding shops, clubs, and restaurants.

This new upscale consignment boutique combines the charming atmosphere of a boutique with the prices of a consignment store. They sell brand name clothing for women in sizes 0-18, along with jewelry, shoes, handbags and other accessories. Although new, Alexis' Suitcase already has an amazing array of fabulous bargains.

This place is very very overpriced for the product. The jeans are anywhere from 50-150 a pair and for a cheapwad like me that's nuts. Most have almost any kinda of jean you'd like but marked up. I'd rather find some vintage jeans at Thread Zeppelin or Junkman's for really cheap and better looking.

More
I make it a point to visit the MLK Memorial every time I'm in Atlanta. It's a national historic site and it's really amazing, yet humbling and inspirational at the same time. Entrance is free (but please make a donation) and the exhibits change from time to time. All are educational, moving, and do a really good job of conveying not only the man behind the legend but a sense of the gross injustices that segregation was. As much as you may know about the time period and Martin Luther King, Jr., you will walk away from the memorial with more knowledge.
A bookstore/gift shop is on site selling memorabilia to commemorate the man and the museum. He is entombed near a large reflecting pool on-site. The home in which he was born is a short walk from the visitors' center, as is Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he and his father preached. Both are certainly worth checking out.
It is impossible to leave the memorial without feeling moved and wondering what he may have accomplished had he been given a few more days, months, or years.

If you're looking for Japanese food, Ru San's is not the place to go. I had heard about the place because it's popular with many Emory students, but the first time I stepped in the place, I knew it wasn't going to be Japanese food that was served that night. First of all, the atmosphere is nothing resembling a real sushi bar. Bright yellow colors, loud music blaring from the speakers, a little too trendy for my tastes. And then, the sushi. The rice was rubbery and the filling definitely was not fresh. Many of the items on the menu were a result of fusion of sushi with some other sort of cuisine, and while that is acceptable, the quality of the sushi was down right horrible, fusion or no fusion. If you're just looking to do sake bombs though, I hear it's the place to go.

The envioronment is nice! The service is fast! The food is great. You can choose traditional Chinese style which is more spicy, or American style which is sweeter. They sometimes offer free dessert some rice cake which is really good. The downside is too many people coming there. Always have to wait. And the amount of dishes is not as large as other Chinese restaurants' since the some of the tables are very small.

this is where music midtown takes place, along with many other events, such as jazzfest. Probably one of the most scenic jogs around town. The only problem is that its packed on weekends, and its difficult to find parking. you can walk to midtown after visiting the park to have a few drinks or a small bite to eat. great park
