More
Yama Sushi is one of Atlanta's newest, freshest Japanese restaurants. (Considering I am usually there grubbing 3-5 times per week, I should know).
Try the Extra Spicy Super Crunchy or the Shrimp Brothers roll. Live scallops, Aji or Toro. Not to mention the Octopus salad, Special Spicy New Style Sashimi, or the myriad signature dishes Yama-san has created from scratch or the traditional Japanese dishes to which he's added a creative twist.
Great place to meet for lunch, dinner or for an icy cold bottle of top-shelf sake on a weekend. Located just north of Northridge road exit 6 (GA 400).
Try Yama sushi. You won't be disappointed. Great value, even better sushi

I didn't know this place existed until a recent destination-less car trip around the piedmont/buckhead area. This place is rated top 10 sushi places in america back in '99. I mean i don't see how it could fall off the list. THe food is heavenly. I wish i had enough time to have the prix fixe, which is like 12-16 courses for like 70-85 bucks. I mean who'd think this stuff up? foie gras wrapped in kobe beef? Not to mention the variety of the freshest seafood i had ever seen. Some of this stuff i had never seen, and i'm a foodie too.

More
After flipping through the most recent Zagat guide, I noticed that they gave this restaurant a perfect score of 32 for every category. I immediately called up and made a reservation, which was for a month ahead of the calling time. The reason was because they recieve such a huge influx of traffic, they have to make reservations months ahead of time! Well the day finally came and I was immediately filled with a sensory overload. The ambiance was amazinfly warming, although a bit loud, but the general feel was welcoming. Since ordering on the menu is pre-fix at a cost of around $65, my dinner consisted of Sauteed Hawaiian Blue Prawns With Vanilla and Saffron Butter, Wood Grilled Prime Tenderloin Of Beeth With Potato Puree, Granny Smith Apples With 4 Year Old Farmer's Gouda, and Warm Valhrona Chocolate Cake With Vanilla Bean. In between each course, a pallete cleanser was served, usually consisting of a variety of breads and wine/water, and everything overall was exceptionally satisfactory. I'd definitely recommend this, without a doubt, as the Best Restaurant in Atlanta to anyone

This is my favorite Thai place in Atlanta. It is located very close to Emory on the corner of LaVista and Briarcliff. It is a casual place with a very nice menu with all different curries. I like the green chicken curry personally. The rice and drinks are also excellent. For dessert, try the fried ice cream, it was amazing. A great place for a great meal.

More
Falafel King occupies a tiny inconspicuous space right off of the intersection in Emory Village. Housed in a building that would be more appropriate for a Chinese eatery, this establishment attracts many Emory students and staff for lunch. Thanks to the cheap but quality ingredients, it has reached a near cult-status with Emory students, who have formed a conference on their online community for the sole purpose of discussing this establishment. Their falafels are fried fresh, and they use fresh vegetables and condiments to garnish sandwiches. They also have some Japanese dishes, owing to the ethnicity of the couple who own the store. Despite the cultural incongruities present throughout the store, the food is unquestionable top-notch.

Everything about Noodle is great. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. If you want a nice romantic dinner, then eat inside. If you want to glimpse the vibrant city life, then sit outside. It is located right in the heart of Peachtree street. Done eating and have nothing better to do? Give the keys to the valet and take a walk in downtown and enjoy Atlanta

Visited this resturant with the Mrs about a month ago. I used a gift certificate that was given to me. The views were amazing, it's on the top floor of the westin hotel in downtown area. Food was very good and expensive. Not a huge menu since they admit it's seasonal foods. We both had steaks, both were fine but overally fatty. It was not the best night for a romantic view since it was raining. It's not something that anyone can afford to do every week but is an experience every person who lives in Atlanta should do at least once.

Pangea is one of those places that is hard to find, but once you do it'll seem all worth it. Their sandwiches are amazing. You can have beef, chicken, or pork and they have many different types. They also have salads and what not, which are also good, but their sandwhiches are, dare I say, the bread winners~. HAHAHA, anyways just go and find out what you've been missing for the past XX years of your life.
