There are some dishes at Maximo's worth having such as the muffaletta. Other items are your typical sandwich shop food and while better than other sub shops, no big deal. The menu selection is a bit different and offers gyros, hot subs, cold subs, and side salads. They also offer a nice selection of Mediterranean sides such as hummus and pita bread and grape leaves. Overall, it is a nice place and a nice change.

I love the idea of having a place I can get some home cooked veggie dishes. The food for the most part (at least the veggies) are pretty good, but a bit pricey for what you are getting. They change what is on the menu daily so you either have to call or go in to know what to order. It is a nice change from your fast food restaurant.

Goldfish is one of my favorite places to eat inside the perimeter. Not only do they serve the best seafood and steak in town, but they also have an amazing sushi menu. The ambiance is great, with live music most of the evening and the most amazing sushi ever. They have drink specials daily, but the vodka choices are not as great as they are in other restaurants near by. Make sure to make reservations in advance, although they do take walk in guests the wait can get very very long. Daily they have steak specials, half priced steak from 4 - 6 pm and $5 fish during the same time. Having a great meal is very affordable if you come at the right time. Great place to meet a friend after work or go on a date.

I have eaten at Genki with friends and even ordered once. The quality of fish is terrible. I couldn't eat the nigiri, and so I tried some kind of mahi mahi cooked with noodles, but that was nasty too.
I would avoid the place and do Ru San's if you're into sushi.

This is the place to have drinks and socialize. If you're going to midtown to party or leaving to go home this is the place that you need to make a stop at. They have an amazing patio and beutiful people. They have live bands there performing on the weekends and have plenty of tables to sit at. Just keep in mind if you do have a big party to expect a wait, sometimes as long as an hour because they don't have too many big tables. We went there for my boyfriends birthday, just to hang out before we were going to hit the club scence. Just the most perfect place to start out at when you're in the area.

If you are a sushi lover and love selection and quality then this is the place for you. They have the most amazing fish I have ever tasted in my life, the colors are so beautiful. The locaiton is sometimes hard to get to and the parking is hard to find. For those that would like to go there for lunch they do offer complementary vallet parking nearby. The ambiance is amazing and the people that work there know exactly what they're doing. The menu is a little bit on the pricy side but it's deffinetly worth the money. The seating is limited so I recomend that you make a reservation before you go, or at least call to see if you can put your name on a waiting list. Highly recoment the restaurant to those who love sushi.

If you like tapas and wine then this is the resturant for you. I dinned there not too long ago and had an amazing time with my boyfriend. We got several tapas to share and when the food came out I couldn't beleive how much we ordered. Between the two of us i think that we had 6 tapas and a bottle of wine and that was plenty. They have $20 bottles of wine on a daily basis and offer the most amazing selections. The restaurant is very small and the wait can sometimes get really long. They do not accept reservation in advance but I beleive that you can call ahead and put your name on the list of you're on your way. The restaurant overlook virginia highland area and is a perfect place to have a nice saturday night meal/

The food here is pretty good for a big, ol, fat burrito. It is definitely comparable to Moe's (which is an Atlanta staple), but the restaurant is a lot nicer than Moe's and maybe a little classier. The service is always good at this location and others that we have visited. For the price, you get what you pay for, it's good, but it's not truly authentic Mexican food, I guess it's considered more Southwestern t ype food which is different.

I recently decided to dine at 10 Degrees South, as word of mouth traveled around the workplace, and was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant. Not only was the food satiating and affordable (they had everything from borewors to biltong to bobotie), but the staff was very friendly and the restaurant had a nice ambiance to it. Although it's a very small location, tucked away on Roswell Road, if you're an adventurer or are just looking to add some "spice" to your everyday meal, I'd definitely recommend dining South-African style at 10 Degrees South.

More
After flipping through the most recent Zagat guide, I noticed that they gave this restaurant a perfect score of 32 for every category. I immediately called up and made a reservation, which was for a month ahead of the calling time. The reason was because they recieve such a huge influx of traffic, they have to make reservations months ahead of time! Well the day finally came and I was immediately filled with a sensory overload. The ambiance was amazinfly warming, although a bit loud, but the general feel was welcoming. Since ordering on the menu is pre-fix at a cost of around $65, my dinner consisted of Sauteed Hawaiian Blue Prawns With Vanilla and Saffron Butter, Wood Grilled Prime Tenderloin Of Beeth With Potato Puree, Granny Smith Apples With 4 Year Old Farmer's Gouda, and Warm Valhrona Chocolate Cake With Vanilla Bean. In between each course, a pallete cleanser was served, usually consisting of a variety of breads and wine/water, and everything overall was exceptionally satisfactory. I'd definitely recommend this, without a doubt, as the Best Restaurant in Atlanta to anyone
