They have a wonderful patio that they even keep open during the winter with heaters. They have normal bar type food with a little twist, their burgers are really good and things are decently priced for tis Cresent Avenue Midtown location where things can tend to be pricy. Check it out, it's a good time to be had by a group of people looking for fun.

Chops really defines what a 5 star restaurant is. The atmosphere makes you feel really snooty and stuff. Their food is top notch, OH MAN IS IT!! They have surf and turf, which is a choice steak and flash fried lobster. I have never tasted such a good lobster before. Flash fried is the way to go! They also have a very good seasoning on the steak, so don't even think about steak sauce which is crap anyways. Of course since it is a 5 star restaurant, it's gonna cost a pretty penny, and it'll have to be a pretty green penny in a rectangular shape. Great for special occasions or if you seriously wanna splurge.

I have been to Ecco many many times and every time it is great. Drinks are good, service is friendly and food is always outstanding. I have tried almost everything on the menu and can't find one item I would not recommend. our party was late arriving and even at 1030pm the kitchen was spot on. I even asked for a special vegetarian request not on the menu and it was no problem. I would seek out Ecco for a casual evening or a special event.
Pros: Service, drinks, consistency
Cons: Parking

My husband and I decided to try Aria as a wedding anniversary treat, since it was rated by Citysearch as one of the best restaurants in 2008. I read the reviews and was uncertain how the experience would be. On one hand, this restaurant was rated as having the best food, and we really appreciate good food. And yet, there were a fair number of unpleasant experiences, such as some of the customers who had rude waitors, or were seated in an excessively noisy location, etc.
I have to say that we had a great time. The food was amazing, particularly the bread and appetizers. Very unique and simple but elegant presentation. I wasn't as excited by the entre (the trout - cooked well, but a bit mild in flavor compared to the crab cakes and prawns for appetizers), but after 2 appetizers, bread, and a glass of champagne, I wasn't too hungry. The wine list was extensive. Given this, there were drinks at every table, which probably resulted in the boisterous atmosphere, but we were able to have a nice conversation (of course, you may want alternative seating if you have known problems understanding speech in noisy rooms).
Every person we met was courteous, and the waitor was most accommodating. I had planned on an hour and 30 minutes for dinner, but it seems like they take time between serving the appetizers (each one individually) and mains. This is usually enjoyable in my opinion, but we had a plane to catch. After notifying the waitor of our time constraint after the 1st appetizer, and suggesting that we take the dessert to go, he simply told us, "that is not a problem, we'll make sure you're out of here by [the said time]." Very nice. I would definitely eat here again. Unforetunately, I will have to wait for another occassion because $100 for 2 is a bit steep for me to be a regular.
Nevertheless, the food was great - our compliments to the chef!
Pros: Great food (esp. bread and appetizers), extensive wine list
Cons: The price

This summer I tried Canoe for my boyfriends birthday and it was amazing!!! We sat outside right near the river. The entire staff was fabulous from the hostess to our waiter. Our waiter was exceptionally knowledgable of the menu and very helpful he greeted us by name and had already been informed it was my boyfriend's birthday and wished him happy birthday. It was GREAT food and GREAT service. On top of everything else it was one of the most romantic places we have ever been! I HIGHLY recommend Canoe to anyone and I will absolulety be back in the future.
Pros: Great food, service, and setting!!!
Cons: none I can think of!

Ive been going to James Madison Salon for the last 10 years.
I wouldn't go to anyone else.
James is the best. If you want to look good and feel good see James, personally.
I have never, ever had a bad cut from James, or left feeling unfulfilled. My glass of beer stays full, and the staff is super friendly, attentive, and attractive.
Pros: Look better than anyone else
Cons: none

Easily the best Thai in town at the moment. Decor is just OK, service is authentically incomprehensible, but man-o-man - the food - the food is just fantastic. I have tried about 1/2 of the menu, and it is all good! (And remember, folks - most people go our to a restaurant for the FOOD. It's fine to note that it's a little hard to find (it's NOT), that the parking is around the corner (it IS), that many of the staff are Thai (so you may have to work a bit to understand them), and that the decor isn't stunning it is acceptably modernesque-generic, BUT, RATE IT FOR THE FOOD. And for goodness sake, if you 'don't like Thai food'. just don't rate it - it's a Thai restaurant! (I'm just sayin'...) Enough of the rant - this place is good - really good - and if you DO like authentic Thai, you WILL like this place - a lot...
Pros: Seriously - the best Thai food in Atlanta
Cons: Not the best location, decor, service (but those are OK!)
