The Borders Books in Buckhead is definitely a great place to find your books. Whether you want to leisurely browse different titles or see what is new in fiction, Borders has what you want. The location is close to both Lenox and Phipps Malls but is in a smaller shopping center so that it is easy to get to. There is also a nice cafe inside to get a caffeine buzz while you are shopping.

I recently stopped at Charis's for a book I needed for a Women in Sci course I'm currently taking. I really enjoyed relaxing on one of the cozy sofas with a good read, as this store was such a nice change of pace. They have a huge selection of books for everyone but with a particular focus on multi-culturism and women. The staff is uber friendly and from my understanding if they do not have what you're looking for they will track it down and get it to you. Of course this is no different than most bookstores but what is different is the feel at this place. It is nothing like the chain stores at all.

this used book store services the emory university area. The selection consists of lots of books needed for classes. There aren't that many textbooks, but the smaller books needed for liberal-arts classes are there. The prices are excellent compared to the school's bookstore (a rip-off). THey often have sales and those are the best time to buy books.

More
This location is quieter than others and offers a good number of separate place to study so you don't get interrupted as much as some other crowded Barnes and Noble stores. The Starbucks is located in the middle of the store and I just like it because it's a lot calmer of an environment and on some days, you can find a very good seat where you can enjoy your coffee and hit the books for a couple or few hours. Not to mention, there are a lot more books in my opinion than Borders.

More
If you're looking for Japanes books, manga, magazines, or any other sort of Japanese publication, this is the place to go. Nestled in a shopping center across the street from Lenox Mall, this Japanese bookstore caters to Japanese people, and those intersted in learning more about Japanese culture. It is located right next to a Japanese restaurant as well. The books can be a little overpriced, but what do you expect when they're being shipped half way around the world?

We love to go into this shop when we are in the area to just browse and see if we can find anything unique that we must have. A great place to buy gifts for others that you know the individual would not otherwise have or get for themselves. I love the sphere's that they have hanging in the windows.
