The Renaissance Waverly is beautiful & our room was great--roomy, elegant, etc. We stayed on a Saturday (wedding night), so we got to experience the Sunday brunch I had heard about--it was great! We had our parents meet us for the brunch before we went on our honeymoon--it was the perfect setting for our send-off!
Pros: Brunch, Elegant Rooms, Reasonable Pricing
Cons: None

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
It's true.
The place has quite a history. And it lives within the walls of these houses. You can feel it.
And, it's priced great for such a nice location!
Pros: Location, interesting houses, rent cost
Cons: For the price, any negative aspect is also negligible.

I have lived in Atlanta for 25 years, and travel extensively all across the world. I never thought I could stay in the city I live in and feel like I am in a different place. Stonehurst place is truly a magical getaway that will provide the rest and relaxation you need, as well as unparallel accomodations and generous hospitality.
The historic home bodes both charm and comfort while the amazing upgrades exude modern luxury. We stayed in the Hinman suite which offered a quaint space with authentic hardwoods, a plush canopy bed, a fire place, and a bathroom to die for. The all marble and Corian bathroom featured heated floors, a large claw tub, double sinks, and a never seen before all white Corian shower with 6, yes 6 shower heads. Fresh flowers were located in the shower and bath and wonderful bath products were offered as well.
At check in, Trenell, the inn keeper, greeted us with refreshments and later treated us to a home cooked breakfast of pancakes and maple syrup, sausage, fresh fruit, and fresh juices and coffee. All around the inn you can find private settings with TV's, books, cocktails, etc. The front and back porch are perfect intimate settings for relaxing or sipping on a cocktail. We were fortunate enough to spend the evening with the owner who has designed almost every aspect of the environmentally green, and incredibly chic B&B.
We are so thankful that we found the Stonehurst Inn, even though we only live 20 minutes away from midtown Atlanta. This truly is one of the most precious places I have stayed in all of my extensive travels and it couldn't have been a better place to spend my husband's 30th birthday. We will be back and will cherish our memories there.
Pros: The rooms, service, ambiance and location
Cons: That we had to leave!

Excellent service from movers for my move to Atlanta, GA from NYC. They worked very hard without any breaks. They handled furniture and boxes with a great care, so no damage to items and walls. If I was moving again I would definitely use same movers

This hotel is wonderful. The price is steep, but considering the services and amenities, it's definitely a value. Every guest is treated like royalty, and I have only good things to say about the Grand Hyatt Atlanta. If you stay here, don't forget to check out the waterfall.

Living in Atlanta I've never stayed at the hotel, but have visited the bar many times. This is one of my favorite bars in Atlanta with good draft beer...perfectly poured and temp....FREE pool...and free hourdorves during happy hour starting at 5pm weekdays. It's a great place to hang out for an hour or two prior to a night out in mid-town Atlanta.
Pros: Bar, Location

My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago. It's a great location for anyone wanting to hang out in the Midtown area - just a walk away from restaurants and local sights. The club downstairs can tend to be a little loud, but it's a great place to get a cocktail with friends.

I stayed here over the Labor Day holiday and was fairly impressed. At check-in, the attendant thought I had booked through Priceline because my rate was so low (found an excellent promotion) and I was given a room on the 8th floor. Room was OK, with a view of GA 400 and a strip mall. Bathroom is very small and you have to be careful because the counter is on top of the toilet, so it is very easy to have your toiletries fall into the toilet. The bed was very comfortable, but the room did show some signs of wear (water damage on the ceiling, some cigarette burns on the carpet). Housekeeping was extremely pleasant and did a thorough job. The A/C in the room wasn't the best, it could some time adjusting/getting used to. There's a business center with 2 computers that are available free of charge. Lenox Mall is walkable (same side of the street) and can be reached in approximately 10 minutes, or you could use the hotel shuttle service. MARTA is literally one block away from the hotel and I took it from the airport. I am a Priority Club member and wasn't placed on the Priority Club floor, but I didn't press it, due to my great rate. The lobby is small and there are only 2 elevators for guests (1 is for service), but traffic seemed to move in and out fairly well. Beware, if you have guests over, they can only park for free for 30 minutes, after that they will be charged the $6 day rate. I asked for a late checkout and was accomodated. I will stay here again on my return trips to Atlanta if I get the discount rate. If you are looking for a top-notch place, this isn't it, but with great shopping and nightlife nearby, you won't likely be in the room much.
