I LOVE Piedmont Park. Yes, I always think of it as our little Central Park because it IS central...I don t own a dog but I love them and I like seeing them romp around with their masters...I love seeing the children play with their parents and friends, I love watching the ducks in the lake, the little summer time vegetable stand, the joggers and walkers( that s me)the special activities that are held there...I like meeting and talking to the people who visit there because they seem to be so much more interesting than the average person.. What I don t understand is all the hoopla about the parking deck...Folks need to have somewhere to park...Everyone doesn t live at the park but they still love it and want to go. And everyone is not physically able to catch public transportation.

Piedmont Park is a great park with so much to do. There are soccer fields, a public swimming pool, a little pond where kids can fish, running/cycling/roller blading trails, spacious open lawns, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, statuary and a dog park. Frequent improvements keep adding to it all.

Great, contained area within Piedmont Park. Even within the Dog Park there is a seperate area for the little dogs to play. Great for when you want to take your yorkie puppy to play and you see the regular Dog Park filled with Great Danes.
There is a doggie water fountain for warm days, and plenty of room for the dogs to run and socialize.
One quibble, there should be a few more trash cans so we can throw away the dog poop. There are a few already, but they should be throughout the park, not just near it's entrance.

Piedmont Park is a great park, with a nice trail system and other fun activities, like tennis courts and soccer fields. My favorite part of the park though is the dog park which is near the parking lot off Park Drive. There's a fenced-in area and dog owners can let their dogs run free. It's fun to watch the dogs interact and see the different breeds.

Piedmont Park is a great place to meet all kinds of people. The festivals are fantastic. From the dogwood festival in spring to Gay Pride in the summer, it's always full. Always under renovation too, unfortunatly it has to happen to keep the park great. There are summer movie festivals, called screen on the green and they're free and a blast. Great place to walk the dog, run, roller blad or skateboard. Small lake, tennis courts and lawns to lay out on. Restaurants around the perimeter

Piedmont Park is the crown jewel of the Atlanta park system. I believe it is the largest park in Atlanta and borders Midtown, giving it an incredible view of the Atlanta skyline. On any given day, you'll find walkers, joggers, bicycle riders, and plenty of people playing on the fields. It truly is Atlanta's playground. On Saturdays during the growing season, they also host a great farmers' market called the Green Market. In the summer, they have started a free movie series where they show movies once a week. People bring out their blankets and just watch great movies projected on a gigantic screen. Beware, it gets packed, so get there soon for good seats.
