Starters, pasta, and risotto are where it really shines. Tortelli with roasted eggplant and walnuts, and an asparagus risotto trade on a balance of rusticity and richness. Step inside, and you're greeted by a quick, busy view of the kitchen and a lot of dark wood, distressed plaster. Comfortably cramped, it's both a top-notch neighborhood spot.

I'd heard mixed reviews of Sotto Sotto and decided to try it. Unfortunately, I am one of the people who was disappointed in this restaurant. My first thought was that it was loud and crowded. I ordered the tortellini stuffed with mascarpone and artichokes and was not happy. In fact, I didn't even finish my meal which is virtually unheard of for me. The chocolate soup for dessert was a great consolation, though.
