The Tabernacle is the premier place in Atlanta to see a concert. I have only seen one show their and it wasn't an act you need great acoustics for, it was Ludacris, but the venue is the perfect size, not too big or too small. The sound was great and the bar was jumping so we all had a great time.

From the outside, you see an old historic church building in downtown. Step inside and you see what has become one of the best clubs in Atlanta to see live music. The stage is surrounded by a general admission floor with full bars on either side. There is also a balcony that surrounds three sides of the club. HIGHLY recommend seeing your favorite performer here.

I found this place to be small, dark and not very inviting when going to see the comedian Jenene Garafelo (how ever you spell her name). It turned out to be just a small night clube. The tickets were $35 each, which was pretty expesive for such a run down hole in the wall. But at least she was funny.
