We just picked up our baby boy on January 19, 2019. The whole time frame from deposit to pick up was less than six months! Katie was always there for me, answering all of my texts and calls promptly! Our puppy just had his first check up, tests, and shots. He's healthy, smart, full of energy and soooo handsome with the biggest paws I've seen on a puppy lol. The Vet said he's gonna be a big boy! I recommend this business very highly, we are extremely satisfied with our puppy and the whole experience! more

Purchased our puppy in early February 2018. She was 12 weeks old and Katie described her as "feisty". That is the last word I would use to describe this puppy. She has destroyed our home, eats her poo and plays in it so the crate and any area she is in is a shitty mess that takes an hour or more to clean up. I clean mess EVERY day including weekends, even if we're only gone for short periods of time. She shits all day...it is horrible and our house is ruined. We've tried small crates, big crates, no crate, baby gate...nothing works. We've taken her to the vet and everything checked out. We've tried every suggestion from trainers, veterinarians, websites, friends/family, etc. to no avail. We sent her to Sit Means Sit for obedience training and obedience is not the problem. We no longer want to keep this puppy but have been unsuccessful contacting Katie and Asa to give her back or get the papers so we can give her to someone else. The voicemail is full and there has been no response to texts. My husband thinks maybe she wants to be an outside dog which does not fit our lifestyle. I am at my wits end and just want to get rid of this dog. more

I want to start off by saying, I don't understand the last 2 reviews. I have bought 2 dogs from Asa and Katie. My oldest which is 1 1/2 years old, who is awesome. No issues with her at all. I just picked up my little boy yesterday. I have talked to Katie a lot throughout the puppy process. She had my money from the start and she always returned my calls and texts. I received a lot of pictures and was told how they are doing. They sent pictures right after the puppies were born and then at 5 weeks. They even sent pictures the day before we went down there. I told her what I was looking for and I received a baby boy that is loving, playful and fluffy. He is perfect in every way. Everything that is on their website is true. This is a hobby for them which is explained on their website. They have several kids and we all know that when you have kids there are going to be times when you can't answer the phone. Lets be realistic here. Far as the paperwork, I had no problems getting mine. You do have to send the information in and you are at the mercy of the team that processes it. This is not Asa and Katie's fault. I have had several dogs over the years and I have to say that this breeder have been the best. They take care of their dogs, and they handle all of the vaccinations in the beginning. Their website is very detailed and explains every step. more

I bought male puppy 21/2 years ago, no papers or communication once they had money. I finally stopped trying and figured I had learned another $2500 lesson. Also took a female they had with heartworms. Great dogs, not great people! Pay attention & don't leave or pay without papers more

In the world of dogs, a responsible breeder will always take a puppy back, at any time, especially if the only other choice is euthanization. This breeder does not therefore in y book are not responsible. Claims of "german Line" rotts by anyone are silly unless the dam and sire came from Germany. All Rotts have "German" in them somewhere. There dogs would not do well in a conformation ring. If breeding for temperament then fine, but don't over price your pups. I write this because this breeder has sold pups to people who have no experience with Rotts, and without matching the drive to the lifestyle of the new owners. High drive doesn't work with people who are never home, have kids, or are elderly. A responsible breeder will never tell you will have a pup no matter what...if they are matching personalities, they may not have one for you in that litter. Some things to look out for. Read the contract before you deposit or buy! more

Purchased puppy in Sept 2016 and had not received papers as of April 2017. Did finally receive the papers. Apparently, DNA on either sire or dam or both had to be sent in and this caused the process to take longer. Just wish it had been communicated a little better. Great, great dog. An excellent specimen of the breed. more

Purchased a puppy in Sept 2016 and quickly sent back the name to Asa as the contract stated so they could send off for the AKC papers. Now it is April 2017 and still have never received the papers. Now they never answer the phone. Before purchase price was paid they always returned calls. Only received one response by text that they had straightened out the issue and papers would be on the way. That was in Jan. Still no papers. Am considering legal action at this point for breach of contract. more

I'm unsure what all the BS here is about, but my partner and I purchased a pup from this kennel almost 4 yrs ago (sired by Diesel). To date, she is one of the healthiest dogs my vet has seen. She is large for a female (though not obese, just bone structure). I have owned 9 dogs (different breeds) in my life prior to this one, the dog we purchased from Atlantahaus is by far the sweetest, nicest, and best tempered I have ever come across. I would not hesitate to purchase another puppy from this FAMILY.I say that because my pup came from a loving, happy home life-evident from the first pics we received of her. Though we never really dealt with Asa personally, his wife Katie was super attentive, sweet, and always returned our calls. I have nothing but praise for this kennel and thanks for giving us another member of pur family more

My husband and I had the good fortune to meet with Asa and Katie and had our 5 yr old bred with Diesel. They both were very hospitable and Asa is extremely knowledgeable about breeding. These were the kind of people we've been looking for, people that care about their dogs like we do, not just out for the money. more

I put a $500 deposit down on a puppy over two years ago and have yet to recieve a puppy. Told me the female died, female did not take, then when I did not want breedings to outside females I suddenly stopped getting texts back from them. It has now been 7 months since husband or wife has responded back to me. I email, text, call and they will not answer. Not sure how this is ok nor able to go on. We paid our $500 deposit and never got a dog or a refund. After paying our deposit, We were told they didn't have a litter. We had to call numerous times. We asked for a refund of our deposit, and we're told that deposits are non-refundable. It didn't matter that there was no puppy. Do not trust these people! They stole from us and will steal from you. more

Unfortunately Tommy Stark and Chris Amel are trying to hurt our image and this is the best that they could do. They have used fake names and false accusations to facilitate this end. NOT A SINGLE PERSON HAS EVER PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT AND NOT RECEIVED A PUPPY FROM OUR KENNEL IN 40 YEARS!! Also, everyone who lives within traveling distance of Atlanta has always been allowed to meet ALL OF OUR DOGS. We are EXTREMELY PROUD OF THEM!! Oddly enough, Tommy Stark has never met any of our dogs, or myself, Asa Owen. I have found out through his own admissions on rottweiler chat forums and on Facebook that he is a felon and that he has multiple DUI's and the list goes on and on.. I, along with many other people, choose not to associate with him and the only thing that he has been able to come up with are attempts at slandering our time tested, good name in the rottweiler world. I apologize to all of our many past, present, and future customers, for the inconvenience of even having to read the lies that he has posted here. more
