I would discourage anyone from going to or sending someone to Carters Personal Care Home. The cost is around $600.00 a month to share a small bedroom with another individual. For the females, you share one bathroom between 6 females. The cost includes, room & board/food/medication management. The food is unsatisfactory and some of it comes from the Atlanta Food Bank. Also, the medication management is a unskilled house manager who hands out medication at different times. The staff is extremely unskilled and under paid. The management is only concerned with your financial resources and not the wellbeing on the residents. The charge an additional $3.00 to pick up medication less that 2 blocks away. The house is dirty, old, not properly taken care of, once without hot water for over a week. Think twice before using or recommending!
