Most of the local independent record stores in Atlanta that I have visited employ rather friendly staff. You won't find the typical NYC snobbery here in The A especially at Criminal Records. Selection - Great Staff recommendations - Great Stock - Great Friendliness - Awesome! Shopping ease - Not-so-great One must view most CDs through a giant glass counter that separates the store employees from the customers. It's challenging to browse for something in a relaxed way especially if you don't know what you're looking for. Other than that - 4 stars!

Criminal Records fits an astounding selection of albums in its cockeyed Little Five Points Storefront. Cds are displayed spine out behind glass in the massive, tall front counter. Basically anything you could want, think or dream of is there—the most obscure indie releases, a huge selection of foreign imports and even rare limited releases and out of print albums. They also have listening stations with all the latest releases, a selection of non-music items (obscure magazines, comic books, graphic novels, collectibles) and in-store performances from your favorite acts. Put them to the test, they’ll have what you’re looking for.
