I have been to Italy, and Paolo's gelato is just like how I remember them being. I don't know what it is about gelato, but it's just so creamy and smooth, definitely more than regular ice cream, and I think it may actually be healthier for you too. Paolo, the owner, is actually from Italy, so of course this is authentic gelato, but he also has some creative concoctions, where he makes gelato into shapes that resemble food items, like spaghetti and meatballs. Paolo himself is one crazy cat - crooning to customers while serving them ice cream, he has a magnetic personality. I would go there everyday if I could.

This is a fun little neighborhood ice cream parlor where they hand mix in all the ingredients. There are tons of different topping selections and fun names for all the ice cream concoctions. They also have the diet and alternative selections as well as ice cream cakes and ice cream to go. I do think some of the combos and flavors are quite rich so sometimes the simple selections are my favorite. The service has always been good and my daughter loves to stop here for a special treat.

Jake’s is my favorite ice cream place in Atlanta. They have a funky atmosphere with all different types of furniture sprawled around the ice cream parlor. I love the names of some of the ice creams, from Slap Yo Mama to JamicanMeCrazy. They make their ice cream fresh from scratch and it tastes delicious. Plus, they stay open late to meet my late night cravings!

Their ice cream is old fashioned, and to die for! If you get within 100 feet of this place, you will smell delicious aromas wafting out their windows. They have tons of different flavors and all their ingredients taste very high quality. YUM! Everyone I know that has tried this stuff RAVES about it. I can't say enough good stuff about them!
