The Earl has one of the best hamburgers in town--and it's cheap! The fries are those skinny little shoestring kind all fried up nice and crispy. The beer is well priced. It's true, you should arrive before 7 pm if you don't want to wait for a seat. Probably not the best place for kids at dinner / on weekends as it can be smoky.

The Earl is always busy -- make sure to note that first. If you head that directionafter 8 pm on a weekend night, expect to be standing around for a while in the bar, because it will be a while before you can sit down. A perk to this restaurant and bar, though, is their unique music themes. Last weekend, for instance, there was a 40's style crooner singing jazz music. The weekend before that, a medley of bands performed tunes from retro television shows. From Growing Pains to M.A.S.H., it was quite an entertaining time.
