For some reason we always end up eating at the bar because we just can take the wait on a Sunday. If it wasn't just the two of us though, the wait would be worth it. The selection is varied, so if you feel like lunch and your partner feels like breakfast you have plenty of options. They make a tasty bloody mary!
Pros: Food
Cons: Waiting in line

I can't believe Murphy's has been around for over 25 years, amazing. That's a huge compliment, especially in the fickled restaurant business, ...enough already! Brunch at Murphy's is to die for, my specialty... egg white omelet, the food is always freshly prepared. It's the perfect spot for a romantic date for 2 or a secret rendezvous! Save room for scrumptious desserts. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list and an ambiance you won't forget! I guarantee you won't be disappointed, there's also valet parking.
Pros: Valet Parking, perfect ambience, Superior Customer Service

food wasn't spectacular & in VaHi there is a lot of competition - several @ our table had the halibut w/ mashed potoates; it tasted good but for $17 it was overpriced in my opinion -- desserts looked really good, i might make a trip back for dessert/coffee next time -- took out of town guests & they enjoyed the atmosphere & location, plus 10 min wait was awesome since i was expecting much longer
Pros: decent food, good atmosphere, 10min wait, location
Cons: pricey

The grilled chicken sandwich and tollhouse pie are both amazing.
Highly recommended!
They also have a good wine selection and a wine store attached to the restaurant.

A major problem I've seen with this restaurant is that the red wines are served at very cold temperatures. Not sure why they would feel the need to do this. It means that you have to wait several minutes before it warms up to a drinkable temperature. This is not fun when you've you've paid a large sum for a bottle. I mentioned this to the waiter and he said that others have complained also. Apparently, management isn't paying attention.
Food was good, but not spectacular. My portion seemed a little skimpy.
I noticed that Murphy's has been bought out by the slick local chain, Concentric Restaurants. It appears that they've lost some of the personal touch they had when they were still owned by Murphy.
Pros: Trendy, nice ambiance, great location.
Cons: Does not seem to have the personal touch they once had.

First, we were sat at a table that is lodged in a corner next to a server station. We asked to be moved, and luckily, they had something else for us. The biscuit/muffin basket was excellent. They were all warm and really tasty. I was hoping our food would be the same way, but unfortunatly, it was not.
We both ordered eggs benedict (Eggs T Murphy on the menu). I thought mine was the only one cold so I wasn't going to complain, but then my fiancee asked me if mine was cold like his. For a dish with grilled ham, grilled muffins, cooked eggs, and hollandaise sauce (which should always be warm), you would think it would be lukewarm at the least, but this was cold. We told the server, and we got replacements. This time, not only was it cold AGAIN, but we had to take off all of these peppers and onions that were on the hashbrowns. (Funny, they weren't there on the first plate, and NOT listed on the menu). The server noticed us taking off the peppers and onions, AND could CLEARLY see that we only ate the ham off of our plate. We left about 90% of the food there, and he didn't say anything to us when removing the plate from the table.
Needless to say, I have always known this wasn't the best brunch in Atlanta, but we went because we were in the area. For it to win any awards of any kind is a bit ridiculous. They must be paying someone to vote for them.
Pros: Yummy buttery biscuits and banana muffins.
Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE. Tasteless cold food, uncaring servers, cramped tables.

I visited this place with my book club and had a great time. It was quiet which I loved. I loved the calamari and the shrimp and grits, very tasty. Did I mention I was a fan of the drinks.

Murphy's brunch came with high expectations, and failed to meet them. The service was very friendly, but slow. The biscuit/muffin basket came so late that we barely buttered them before the food came out.
The food was ok, but nothing special. My chilaquiles were ok, but lacked any spice - it tasted like bland salsa dumped over some chicken. Also, it was cold. Like not even lukeward.
All in all, disappointing.
Pros: Friendly service, nice atmosphere, biscuits
Cons: Slow service, overhyped food leads to disappointed palates
