The stylists listened to my concerns and gave me the perfect style, even though I really couldn't describe what I wanted. I will definitely go back! Pros: Great cut and color!

Ive been going to James Madison Salon for the last 10 years. I wouldn't go to anyone else. James is the best. If you want to look good and feel good see James, personally. I have never, ever had a bad cut from James, or left feeling unfulfilled. My glass of beer stays full, and the staff is super friendly, attentive, and attractive. Pros: Look better than anyone else Cons: none

I spent $100 and 2 hours to have highlights put in my hair. We agreed on a caramel color and even looked at a picture. We agreed no light color against my dark hair. Well the highlights that I can actually see are very light - not the amber, caramel color we looked at. I'll now need to spend more time and more money somewhere else to get this right. Stylists are professional and eager to give a great new look. I'd pay the shampooer to wash my hair everyday if I could! Wine and beer offered, great Saturday DJ. A relaxing experience all around. Expect to pay Midtown prices though.

I explained what I didn't like about my current hair and brought a picture of what I wanted. I got the exact opposite - it looked terrible! My stylist Stephanie didn't try to fix the cut when I said something; instead, she said that the next time I came in she would do it differently. James Madison was at the register and he said that he would fix it. He blended it a little better, but it still isn't what I asked for. I don't think there was much he could do at that point. Looking on the brightside, I'll save time in the morning since the only thing I'll be able to do for the next six weeks are ponytails. Pros: Discount if you live in the metropolis building Cons: Bad haircut

I have been receiving services from JMS for about a year now and everytime I challenge my stylist and colorist to provide me with the latest and greatest style for me they always exceed my expectations with the quality and beauty of my style! I would not dare try another salon because it doesn't get better than The James Madison Salon!! I highly reccomend this salon and its service providers!! On the recommendation of several friends, I went to James Madison to try something different with my haircut. The salon was fun, open and airy...and the staff were all very helpful, and listened to what I wanted to do. The result is a new and different cut...and slight lightening of shade for the summer. I will be back, and plan to share the recommendation. Pros: Great stylist, fun staff Cons: Dark parking lot
