I love Van Michael Salon. I go to the Buckhead location and Keith cuts and colors my hair. It is the best cut I've had in many years and the color is beautiful. I have dark hair so that is a hard color to work with..It is not cheap but worth every penny. I would recommend it to anyone. Everyone in the salon is great.. more

The service I received at The Van Michael Salon was more than horrible!! I guess I was trying to be cheap and go with the New Talents and that was when it all went wrong. I was sent over to Quinn and she ruined me. I tried t o play nice while she told me how great I looked, but It was to awful. I hope Van Michael lets her go. Stay away. more

Hello! My name is Monika and I visited Van Michael Salon in Buckhead last week. I was assign to Quinn. She was nice at first, we chat for a while and then she asked my about my color. I told her I had it done about 4 months ago and my roots and my ands are almost the same color. I asked if I can have chocolate brown color with some highlights. She said “no”!!! And that’s were I should have leave the place. Nobody ever told me that before. “You have really dark hair, I can’t do this, maybe next time… bla bla bla” I was shocked. But than – my fault- I decided to stay. She prepared two bottles with different colors. one for roots and onbe for ends, as she explained. After drying and shampooing I sat in front of the mirror and immediately saw the huge difference between my roots and my ends. But Quinn said “ oh, it’s only because your hair is wet” !!! Can you imagine that???????????? That is SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello, I’m sitting in front of the mirror, I can see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s when I got really upset!! Not only she messed up my hair, but she is brave enough to lie to me????? She said that the next step will be cutting my hair. And if I’m still not happy with the color she’ll fix it. Yeah, I was very unhappy, thank you for noticing. Experience with Kelly didn’t improve my overall experience at all. She was rushing trough the cutting. And 5 minutes later (when I got my hair fixes) she was running out. Oh, the end of the day, who cares that the customer is unhappy!!!!!!!!! I need to be fair and say that I like the hair cut. One little plus for Kelly!!!! Ok. Next I’m back in to Qiunn’s chair and praying so hard to get my hair fixed. She showed up with a new bottle of color. I asked “ do you thing it’s save for my hair??” she said “ That’s perfectly fine” Well, it wasn’t. Sitting under the dryer, I felt like my skin is burning. She shampooed my hair and she tried to make me feel comfortable talking about salon makeup artist. She said that he was do more

Van Michaels is a well known name around the Atlanta scene. With 4 locations- it is convenient for everyone in Atlanta and they always do a great job. This particular location does not offer a New Talent side which has hair dressers who are qualifying to be moved up to a higher status. This means lower costs for the customer- but still a great job! I love Virginia Highlands and would recommend this to anyone in the area! more

This salon is good. Some people think they are great. But I cannot wait weeks for a hair appointment, nor can I justify $100 for a trim on long hair. However, I will say that for years I did go to their New Talents division and was very, very happy with my stylists. I got great haircuts and wonderful service, it's just not my lifestyle now that I'm a mom. Fun experiences though. more

I have been going to Van Michael for about a year now. I have started to get coloring done as well and have always been impressed with their ability. However, my last trip their it seems that my colorist is getting too busy and I ended up getting stuck with her assistant to do my glossing. The assistant, which I know is licensed, seemed to do a good job until I washed it 24 hours later. The roots and the rest of my hair are two different colors. I don't have a problem using an assistant for washing, etc. but there is no excuse to pay $70.00 for a coloring job and then have two different shades going over your head. I did call and they had me set up to get it fixed with someone else within 72 hours. more

When I was traveling to Atlanta often, I'd love to get my hair done at Van Michael. I had several different stylists but all were attentive and understood what I wanted done and how to do it. Each time I loved the outcome, whether I wanted to go shorter or let it grow out a bit. The prices are a little on the high side but overall very worth it! more

My hair didn't get much of a change/makeover, but i have had friends who have received great results from them. Van Michael Salon definitely provides the best hair care in Atlanta. Whenever I need to make sure I look my best , I always schedule an appointment to have the professionals at Van Michael shape my hair so that it looks the best . I always find my trips to the salon to be both relaxing and enjoyable. Once you have found your favorite stylist at the salon, your hair will never have looked better. more
