As a disclosure, I didn't end up renting from Aly, but of all the dozens of brokers that I met, I was most impressed by her. She wasn't pushy and asked questions about what I was looking for, and really seemed to listen, because some time after, she called me up with other apartments that seemed to match what I was looking for. She's an independent broker, and not affiliated with a larger realty. She told me that she's been doing this for 10 years and appeared very knowledgeable about the Astoria area. Ultimately, I decided to live in another neighborhood, but if you want to live in Astoria, I highly recommend her.
