The American Museum of the Moving Image is a truly wonderful experience for anyone of all ages. The museum is located in Astoria in a location that may not be ideal but has allowed the museum to become a wonderul location. The museum keeps children interested through so many exhibits as well, something many museums cannot say. Overall, just an excellent place to visit.

This museum is great for older kids. There are a lot of hands on displays. You can do voiceovers for movies, change the music, and make your own animated sequence. There is also an exhibit of old costumes from movies. At the end of the museum there is a video game section where kids can play as much as they want.

The biggest surprise awaits you at this incredible and well-funded monument to the American film industry located in one of their earliest centers, Astoria, Queens. This place is a fun as it is educational, with all sorts of hands on exhibits to keep children amused. My personal favorite is the TV producer’s booth that lets you see and hear what happens behind the scene between producer and cameramen at a baseball game. Needless to say, great and classic films are screened in a huge theater here every week.

The exibits are amazing with many hands on activieties for all ages. My favorite part is the mini movie theature, it is just like ones from the early 1930's. This is a really great place.

This is a pretty cool museum. The building actually used to be a production studio. Most of the exhibits are hands on and give you a chance to work behind the scenes. You can do a voice over for movies like The Wizard of Oz and Babe. They also have old film memorabilia. There are 3 floors! They also have an exhibit with lots of old computers and video game consoles showing the evolution of the computer/video game.
