The food was absolutely fabulous. We've eaten world wide and recommend this place. It's relatively new, yet Peter and Martha have created a unique superb establishment with outstanding food. Prices are reasonable. Food is unique, creative, and delicious. The lunch menu with the succulent scalops are highly recommended. Dinner (yes, we returned 5 days straight to this place) was great quality... everything was fresh and well prepared. Highest quality food.
Pros: All Gluetin Free menu and you don't even know it!
Cons: none

Cats and Dawgs is a small, family owned shop located in the Grove Arcade, downtown Asheville. It's basically a hot dog or catfish place, but really it seems like soo much more. They have a wall covered with menu options- all different combinations of hot dogs, or sausages, and a variety of toppings...different styles of buns, different mustards, etc. You can buy your cat or dawg plain, or make a basket of it, adding some delicious french fries, coleslaw, or a three bean salad. They've got beer on tap or bottled beers, and generally something is on special. The prices aren't bad - anywhere from 2-6 dollars per person, depending on what you go for. There is seating inside and outside, with a television inside. It's not fancy- but it's really really good. And there's something about a great hot dog that just helps keep things in perspective. I highly recommend this place. It's a fun, relaxing stop after strolling through the shops in the Grove Arcade.
