I hate to admit this, but we eat at Mijos almost on a weekly basis. Mainly because my kids LOVE it! They are getting a bit more creative with their menu now so you can find entrees like mango chicken lettuce wraps and cool combination plates. They have started creating menu items based on what their customers like, that is always a neat idea. Their signature salad is a bit limp to me because the dressing is too heavy, but people tend to love it.
The salsas are not spicy; they do need to get a bit more heat into at least one of them. The only other thing that I have a problem with is that the service is very impersonal (most do not speak English), they use these cheesy thin cheap napkins so you end up using 50 thousand of them and they cover your table before you leave. We have talked about bringing our own, but don't want to look stupid. Also, they use styrofoam cups. Which I don't understand, because they use plastic plates??? So not so green in their approach. One thing it is FAST food at okay prices. Just don't expect to feel like they really care about you when you leave...or appreciate the fact that you EAT there EVERY week.

Great chorizo and egg tacos, the kids love the bacon and egg, great condiment bar, my only complaint, and reason for 4 starts instead of 5, is the price is a little high for breakfast, they should lower the tacos to 99 cents when you buy in bulk, but the taste is wonderful....

I love Mijo's & have been going there for years. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal. My favorite is the shrimp chalupas with mango salsa. The only reason I won't go back is because the past 3 times I've been there, the management has been horrible; they aren't consistent. One time I can substitute the slaw for their delicious salad and the next time I can't (not even for a small surcharge). The management raves how he is the manager and the employees are JUST employees and don't know anything and make mistakes.

My boyfriend and I were looking for fresh mexican food. A place that uses cilantro and lime. I googled fresh mexican food arlington and this was the first place that popped up. We went, unsure of what to expect, and came away really excited. The street tacos were delicious and the new chalupas with shrimp and mango were outstanding. In addition to the great entrees, the salsa bar was freshly stocked with several salsas, limes, cilantro and onions. And try the peach mango tea - delicate flavor, not too strong, but just right. Great atmosphere and really super clean.

The best hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint in Tarrant County. A wide variety of food, not just the usual corporate Tex-Mex fare. Everything is fresh as can be, made on the premises daily; be sure to check out the daily specials written on a chalkboard above the cashier. Good-sized portions and a children's menu. The decor is plain, but I don't come for the pictures on the wall, I come for the food, and Mijo's will keep you coming back for more.

This is one of the few places where you can get Mexican food without it being doused in grease. I love the interesting combinations like apricot chicken, mango salsa, and cilantro-lime slaw. Everything is delicious, while healthy and inexpensive. I would highly recommend this to anyone tired of same old Tex-Mex platters.

I try new restaurants, especially Mexican, every couple of weeks. I saw a coupon for Mijos, so I decided to go there today. It was awful. They put Parmesan cheese on everything. Last time I checked, that was for Italian places. Secondly, they had 3 different salsas, none of which were close to spicy. I had Spinach enchiladas, and although the spinach was fresh, it was bland with no spices. My boyfriend had a sampler plate, which had Italian melted cheese and tons and tons of lettuce all over it. I like Italian, but not with my Mexican. The service was friendly, and the restaurant itself was clean and neat, but I won't be going back for seconds.
