My husband and I went to see Dr. Twamley after noticing he was on our insurance plan. His office is conveniently located close to The Parks Mall, and to our home.
Dr. Twamley's staff was pleasant and thorough in the testing given prior to us seeing him. We both had exams for contacts and glasses, and Dr. Twamley made sure we had the best contacts for our over-40 eyes, even having us back to try out several different brands.
He also worked with us to find the best value for us in eyeglasses and in bifocal lenses.
We appreciated the time he spent with us, and for sharing his work with the Lions Club. His assistant Jen is fun too!

Staff did not want to submit my claim to the insurance company. Staff overbooks and had to wait over an hour to see the doctor for 2mins of care. He seems more interested in his appearance than in his patients. Not very knowledgeable.
Pros: none
Cons: he overbooks, does not know how to treat patients

The two times we've had to use their ER, the waits were very long for visits to a nurse. In the case of a fractured foot bone, it took nearly a day from arrival to departure in a cast. They're busy and understaffed, and both take their toll on service. If you don't have insurance, it is even worse.
PROS: beats dying
CONS: long waits, overloaded, crowded waiting areas

I typicaly do not shop w/ out coupons and during the middle of the week. But my fridge was bare and I needed groceries really bad. This was the closest store to where I was when the idea of grocery shoppng struck me.
I was astonished at how expensive everything was. My coffee wich is $3.89 at target was $5.49 here. The milk, we by the Horizon was $3.90 when we usually buy it for just under $3.
Also the store is older and the lay out is weird.
The nice part of this store is the customer service, the checkers were very pleasant.

I interviewed a couple of pediatricians while I was pregnant and decided on Dr. Carlson because besides answering all my questions the right way he had the most gentle, soothing manner. I decided that as a first time mother I was hyper enough, my son's doctor needed to be calm and orderly.
He is supportive of my decisions for my son, but I can tell that if I had wanted to go another way he wouldn't try to beat me up about it. He does have some definite opinions, though, and isn't shy about expressing them. I tend to be very involved in the decision making process concerning my son's health so I do quite a bit of private research and have been satisfied with his answers when I really question him.
During our initial interview he took quite a long time to talk with me so I was surprised at my first appointment when I felt like he was rushing. I understand that he's running a business and has rooms full of patients to get to, but I wish that I felt like he was taking more time to concentrate on us. I also get very frustrated by the amount of time we have to wait even before we get to the examination room. It's irritating to be on time and then have to sit for thirty minutes.

I had my widsom teeth removal at Menton.
Positive:
1. The atmosphere make you feel clam.
2. I was given a walkman to lsiten to music to distract me from the pain.
3. Dr. Menton is fast at removing. I guess he is very experienced.
Negative:
1. They have wrongly charged me removing two tooth instead of one, and I signed every receipt they had given me after removal. Later, they had corrected it.
2. I was referred from my "In-Network" dentist to him who is "out-of-Network". It made me paid a lot more.

This doctor is one of the worst in the business. He is too preoccupied with his personal life rather than his patients. I was seeing him for just a primary care doctor when he suggested that I use his for everything including my diabetic treatment. He said it would be best to have one doctor know my entire history, and that sounded reasonable until I ended up in the hospital a day after he saw me. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone!

More 1 year ago
We arrived for our appointment 15 min early for a 1pm appointment and the owner/ sonographer, Makeba, wasn't even there at 1:20 I asked the receptionist to call the sonographer (which she should have done on her own by 1:05) and she was getting her car worked on and that she would be there in about 15 min. I was upset and told the receptions so and she said to me, "do you have somewhere to be?" Now I was really upset and she said "well you have to wait at a Dr.'s office." I pointed out to here that this is not a Dr.'s office and I was paying handsomely and that my wife and I were both missing about 2hrs worth of work combined for the privilege of waiting in this office. We asked for a refund and left and this is where it should have ended but Makeba called my wife back and started arguing with her and upset her so badly she couldn't go back to work that day. She should know your not supposed to upset pregnant women. She did not need to call us back unless she was apologizing and begging for our business back. All she wanted to do was blame the receptionist for not calling her to remind her she had an appointment and then blame us because we had originally rescheduled calling us a "no show". We were not a no-show. We called 48hrs in advance to reschedule. Even if we were a no-show, is that supposed to give her permission to do the same to us.
Pros: Waiting room was nice
Cons: The owner was late and rude

More 1 year ago
I asked LOTS of questions when I made my appointment for my pap. I knew that my thyroid was out of whack and I wanted a doctor that would look at both my symptoms and the test results. I was assured that Dr. Lefholz was concerned about helping her patients with thyroid issues. .
The day of my visit I was actually called back rather quickly. Nice surprise. Then I was told to go to the lab. OK, you can see by my chart in your hand that I have never been here before. Where IS the lab? I found the lab, handed them my file. They were too busy gossiping to even look my direction. She took my file, said we need a sample. OK....do you need me to sit so you can take a blood sample? She got snarky with me and said NO! A URINE SAMPLE! When I came back out she made a half hearted attempt to apologize.
When I finally saw the doctor I told her what I was needing (pap) my concerns about the thyroid along with a list of all the symptoms I was suffering (pretty much every one of them) and told her I was planning on getting pregnant in the next year. She look at my chart, looked at me and said you are braver than me. I was rather taken aback. I'm looking for MEDICAL ADVICE not her PERSONAL OPINION.
A week later I called back to find out if I needed to come back for another visit to review my thyroid test. I received a call back from her nurse. Who treated me like an idiot and said...."there is nothing wrong with your thyroid. I demanded a copy of the test results. When I received the results I was SHOCKED to see that even after all the questions I had asked before I made an appointment the were still using test values from BEFORE 2003.
My new doctor took one look at those test results and IMMEDIATELY put me on Armour.
I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I AM TELLING EVERYONE I CAN WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I HAD THERE!!!
