I am going to be trying to get Brandon Todd at Fox 4 to do a report on these crooks. Perhaps they will not ignore him. They owe me a refund & have promsied it time & time again & still nothing...even if they don't owe you please email me your contact info so Brandon Todd from Fox 4 can include your complaint in the report. I was also told that they will guarantee the work only if i spend 600 bucks in repairs! I complained to the manager but never got a reply back. avoid the switch and bait tactics and go only with reliable services

I would never use this company again. The marketing definitely exceeds the quality of work and service. A $260 job turned into a $541 job, and I can accept that. But what came next I was not prepared for. They installed the garage door improperly. When I attempted to let the door up, the door got stuck, the center rod bent from the pressure and damaged my door, and destroyed my garage door opener. When I reported this a service person came out and informed me that it would cost me an additional $180 to fix what was caused by their improper installation. I have left numerous messages for their local Austin manager Gloria. Gloria has never returned my call. I have decided to have another company rectify their bad craftsmanship and deal with Obrien from a legal perspective. Any suggestions.

I called O'brien for a $49 garage door tune-up and ended up with a $500 bill for all kinds of parts that needed replacement. Unfortunately the service technician had to return 4 times to try to fix problems that arose from these new parts. After the 4th consecutive problem, I called Welborn Garage Doors and they fixed it same day. No problems since then, but another $300. Thanks for nothing O'Brien Garage Doors. Let this be a fair warning to everybody else in the Dallas, Ft Worth Metroplex that is having garage door problems. Avoid O'Brien Garage Doors like a bad haircut or I promise you'll be sorry.

I am going to contact our local news station about my complaint as it is gone nowhere with O brien. I honestly don't even know if the secratary is forwarding my messages since the screen every call. Perhaps they are told to weed out the complaints & only forward the people wanting to fork over money because I know when I called to have my garage repaired initially I had a call back within a half hour. My new garage door was poorly installed> I have called them more than 15 times in two months to get it fixed. They promise to call back but never do! I would stay away from this company if you have a choice.

I just wanted to say that Chris, our master safety/technician here in Houston on Saturday July 25th, performed a fabulous job, with very little sleep from the install the night before. Very open, trustworthy and honest young man. He needs about five stars next to his name. He was in our home on Wednesday to give us the estimate and go completely over the repairs needed. Fortunately, we have had alot of recent unexpected repairs on our home, refrig, etc !, and he was able to set us up on a four month payment plan the we had to have to get back up and running. We had an old system he explained that was very dangerous. Chris was awesome and you are so lucky to have him in the Houston market. Take care of him. Pleasant experience and will be glad to refer business to Aubrey at O'Brien here in Houston. I'll be in touch with Chris with any follow up questions. Have an awesome day ! This company charged me over $500.00 including tax on labor (which should not be collected on labor in TX) for less than 1 HR of work. He HAMMERED out a door panel, bent the rail to avoid having to detach and reset it, reattached a garage door opener and replaced two springs. He was there and I had no internet or phone book to verify pricing (at my rent house), not to mention the good ol' trust factor. I believed he was giving me a fair deal for the work that he was performing. A little research later and I realized I got took. I called to see if I could apply the coupon that prompted my call to them and a real nice person basically told me to get bent. Oh, well lesson learned. Hope your Garage Door experience goes better than mine. By the way, the on Secretary of State website, the O'Brien Garage Door Co's in Arlington, San Antonio and Austin are inactive for Tax Forfeiture?? Seems odd. Maybe it's a different O'Brien Garage Doors with all the same info? Good luck!!

After a lighten strike these guys we needed our garage door opener fixed. After giving the unit information to them, they were supposed to fix it on the first call. Now, this is their third time out (still waiting) and they are going to replace the entire unit. THE PROBLEM WITH THEM IS THEY HAVE BEEN DISHONEST FROM THE START - THEY HAVE MISSED APPOINTMENT, NOT BEEN TIMELY, AND NOW HAVE LIED ABOUT SAYING THEY WOULD BE HERE AT 8AM AND ARE NOW SAYING THEY WILL BE HERE BETWEEN 9-10 WHILE I'M MISSING WORK BECAUSE OF THEM. IF YOU DON'T MIND WAITING UP TO 3 WEEKS FOR THEM TO REPAIR YOUR GARAGE DOOR OPENER, YOU MAY WANT TO CALL THEM FOR SERVICE!
