UTA is lovely, yes I used the word lovely. It is a smaller state university that offers a more personalized educational experience than other Texas schools. Registering/dropping/paying fees and all the administrative aspects of being a student here are easliy taken care of online on a simple website.
Classes for grad students (in my department) are not plentiful, but you can be assured that the classes that are available are of the highest educational quality.
True, that for a person living on campus there are not many amenities. But the area surrounding UTA (even within walking distance) offers many local eateries and is rich in culture.
Great school. (period)

I went to UTA from 1998 to 2000, when I transferred to another school. The biggest problem I had was being a student there who lived on campus when it was a commuter school. There aren't grocery stores in walking distance and the neighborhood surrounding it is a little scary. I had some very good professors but I also had some professors who had never taught before and seemed very clueless. The school needs to offer more to students that live on campus to be successful.
