I just graduated from Flairbourne School of Bartending and I am already working in a bar in Seattle. The instructors are all REAL bartenders and know how the bar world works. You can see all of their awards they have won from traveling all around the world for various competitions. I love it because its not a corporate set up. Its real teaching about how the field really works. They don't teach one way, they actually take the time to teach you how they think you will be most effective. Most of my classes were one-on-one as well. And by the way, they do help you find a job. If you try as well, you will land a job very fast. I made my tuition back after my 2nd night of work!!
Pros: Fun teaching, real situations, one-on-one teaching
Cons: They didn't teach me flair, that's a different class :) they are really good

We had our wedding reception here and it was an awesome time! We thoroughly enjoyed working with Vanessa. When we started the planning process she personally sold us on the whole Blue Ribbon Experience just by the way she handled any questions we had. Vanessa was always available and she had the ability to put us at ease with everything she handled. Also, we had soo many compliments on the cake! It was delicious. We are both so pleased with how everything turned out!! I would highly recommend the Blue Ribbon Cooking Center.
Pros: Entire Planning Process/ working with Vanessa
Cons: Bartender couldn't make some basic drinks ieManhattan/Mojito

Somehow I ended up there when Mr. McPheely from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhoodhttp://pbskids.org/rogers/ was there, posted at the entrance to a full-scale replica of the Neighborhood of Make Believe! I felt like I was in a dream, and I finally got to see behind all of those puppets' "homes" and stand on Mr. Rodgers' porch. The rest of the experience was almost as strange: it's for kids, kids love it, but you should only go when you're ready to spend an afternoon in the dreams of children. It's nice to walk through seaweed or caves or doll houses in foreign lands, but I don't recommend doing it with low blood sugar because those kids are energetic!

Team Reba has been helping our family with Real Estate for a long time, so when my husband and I decided to purchase our first home, they were our natural choice. Being young and a little naive we just assumed all agents were as professional as Team Reba, but our experience enlightened us as to just how awesome Rebecca and her team really are.
Having very limited funds, and a laundry list of needs, (close to family, cheap, not falling down, yard for dogs) we worked with the Team for almost a year before we found just the right home for us. Throughout everything Team Reba was supportive and we never felt pushed to buy something that didn't suit us. When we finally found what we were looking for, Reba jumped in both feet first and we made an offer. Little did we know at the time that we would all be doing a lot more jumping (through hoops) throughout the next 5 weeks.
It seemed the sellers, and their agent, were interested only in making the sale very hard for us. We had to sign away a lot of standard back outs, giving them the power. We did, but we also changed our bid to include closing costs, and a few other items. They accepted and we all prepared for the closing day. As the closing day drew nearer, the sellers realized that they had agreed to pay our closing costs, apparently they had missed this crucial part of the contract.
So they decided that they just weren't going to sign the closing documents. At this point it was very clear to all involved that the oversight of the closing costs was the fault of the selling agent, in fact, he admitted it. But he refused to take responsibility and fork up the money out of his already inflated commission. We tried to come to an agreement, offered money on our side from both us and Team Reba.
Finally after the closing date passed and we had to start speaking with a lawyer did the Broker for the selling agent step in and take over for the incompetent agent. I guess they realized finally that they were going to be facing a lawsuit if they didn't resolve it with us. During this very emotional and frustrating experience Team Reba was there at all times, they sheltered us from the onslaught of stupidity and incompetence from the selling agent, and in the end gave up a portion of their hard earned commission to help us finalize the sale. They proved to be the best agents in the West, complete with smoking rifles.
I would with glee and enthusiasm recommend Team Reba to anyone looking for an agent who is extremely professional, fun, and knows how and when to defend you from idiots.

Wings Aloft is a good place to learn, and rent whether you are flying as a hobby or for your job.
I had no flight experience when I signed up for lessons, but they found me an instructor I got along with, designed the lessons and schedule to fit my needs, and got my flying comfortably in the first two lessons. I've been learning ever since, and am on track towards a PPL (Private Pilot's License).
Staff is friendly, helpful, and always available. In addition to lessons, there are educational seminars, and fun & social events.

I am a pretty accomplished self-taught home cook, with little instruction from parents or grandparents. I have taken quite a few classes here, and overall each time has been educational and enjoyable. Gabriel Claycamp is an enthusiastic food geek, and loves to share his knowledge of which he has lots, both theoretical and empirical. He charismaticly engages on all levels, but never haughty, overbearing, or condescending.
Classes are hands on, and can be overwhelming the timid--ask questions, get your hands dirty, and immerse yourself into the experience and education of these exceptional classes. Take the Knife Skills class or the Seasonings class for some eye-opening classes for the self-taught home chef, or the Charcuterie class for the weekend warrior. The menu composition class is a fantastic class for anyone who likes to entertain, and the confit clinic really shows some assembly line techniques that ease the labor into quick work. The Series class are some serious instruction, and great friends will be made.
Recipe cards are distributed as soon as you walk in, and most likely you will get through them all, depending on the speed/expertise of the class. It is better to have felt like there was too much then to be bored.
Often, the class takes home leftovers--these alone are worth the cost of a fancy lunch and dinner!
Pros: Hands-on beats mirrored countertops any day.
Cons: Students should avoid advanced classes if they don't--can't--cook.

I have been a dedicated yoga practitioner for the past four years, and The Yoga Tree in Fremont ranks high on my list of favorite studios. The instructors are all very skilled and personable--there is no attitude at this studio and the regulars are friendly. If you're new to yoga, try one of The Yoga Tree's Intro Series classes or a Level One class. If you're more experienced, there are a variety of ongoing classes along with specialty workshops that will leave you feeling centered, grounded, and still physically challenged.
Besides great instruction, The Yoga Tree offers an excellent 200-hour Teacher Training program in conjunction with YogaWorks that I can't recommend highly enough. The teacher training is offered in two formats--a six-month intensive that meets once a month over four-day weekends and an one-month super-intensive program. I completed the six-month intensive teacher training this year and had an amazing experience. The program left me feeling that I can safely instruct a yoga class, but more important for me was growing my personal practice, which has deepened significantly.
Whether you're looking to get into yoga for the first time or want to take the plunge into becoming a teacher or a stronger practitioner, I highly recommend The Yoga Tree in Fremont.
Pros: Excellent Teacher Training Program, Experienced Instructors, Workshops
Cons: Parking can be difficult

I actually attended Greenwood Academy as an Esthetics student and loved my time there. Many colorful and creative students, great prices and watchful instructors. I never got my hair done there although my daughter did and it looked really good. I have received many facials from fellow students at the school and most of them were fabulous...keep an eye out for Justin, Kelsey, Margie and Suzie...new up and comers with tons of talent!

And this is a great place to learn.
I've been training for about a year at 7 star, and I couldn't have asked for a better environment to train in--seriously.
I was worried when I first starting training, because I was very overweight (I was at 280 pounds). I was frightened that I wouldn't be able to keep up, and that I would be made to feel out of place. As it turned out, it wasn't like that at all--the instructors work with you exactly where you are, and are patient and committed to helping you move towards your goals. In the year that I've been training I've lost over 40 pounds, and have experienced a complete overhaul in my strength and physical abilities. And it's more than just physical--I've found that training in martial arts has given me an increased confidence and a calmness in stressful and frightening situations.
Plus, the school offers a wide range of class work--not only in Kajunkenbo (which is itself a mix of five styles), but in stick fighting, Shaolin weapons, street fighting, and more. I never get bored training at this school, ever.
