We love J&S. I don't know what some of these people are talking about. It is the best pizza in FV, hands down! We have friends coming in tonight from North Raleigh for dinner there because they even like it so much! We get a Sicilian, and the price is so amazing for all the food you get that it feeds my family of 4 for two meals! We have always had good service for eat in or take out. The owners are very friendly. We used to frequent the Apex location, and are so glad they opened in Fuquay! Whoever thinks this restaurant is going to close must be out of their minds because it is almost always busy. Some people just don't appreciate good food when they taste it! Keep it coming Silvio and family!
Pros: Best pizza in town, friendly
Cons: Can be a little slow at times

I've lived in Apex twenty five(25) years and frequented J&S countless times. It is unquestionably the best pizza in town...crisp, not too thick, plenty of cheese, and generous toppings. I've never had a bad pizza from that store. Give the owners a break. Their English is marginal, at least it is for the older couple, but there's no problem communicating with them. And rude? Never saw it. Busy as bees and no time for small talk? Yes, at times, but I'm there for the food, not a social event ,and I still consider this one of the best pizzas money can buy in the Raleigh area.

We used to go to the store in Apex on a pretty consistent basis, i.e. 1-2 times per week. The pizza was just the best around. Once the Fuquay store opened, the service and food quality seemed to go downhill pretty quickly. The pizza started having less cheese and toppings on it, and also the "bubble" all over the crust, from wrong dough prep... The younger kids are working more in the Apex store, and their customer service is not wonderful anymore.
You need to try Anna's Pizza in downtown Apex.. The place is small and can get overcrowded, but they have the best pizza around now...
Pros: USED to be a great pizza place
Cons: service, food

We will NEVER NEVER return to this restaurant again. My wife and I went on Saturday 17th 2009 about 1pm to the Fuquay Varina restaurant. We both ordered a small salad and 2 slice of PEPPERONI pizza each. We waited about 10 minutes for our salad, the server told us there was a fresh pizza being made. The salads were good and fresh. After eating the salad my wife told me she saw the waiter putting pepperoni on 4 slices of cheese pizza that had come out from the heat lamp. I turn and watch him put those slices, on a paper plate, in the bottom level of the pizza oven. After about 4 minutes the server took them out and brought them to our table. Needless to say the pizza slices were as hard as a brick. The server had walked away and my wife had put Parmesan cheese on hers and I was still trying to break my pizza slice to fold it. The waiter came back and asked if every thing was okay. I asked him how many times has this pizza been cooked. He stated once, but he put pepperoni on it and put it back in the oven. I told him I was DONE I did not want the pizza, I would pay for my salad and leave. At the counter paying for my salads and drink, the lady asked me what seemed to be the problem. I told her that my pizza was as hard as a brick and had been cooked twice. She stated "it is a little over done but it is not to bad", never getting a apology. While talking with the lady, the server took my wife's slices of pizza and slid them off her plate and back under the heat lamp. I asked the lady behind the cash register "DID HE JUST DO WHAT I THINK HE DID" and she asked the waiter did he just do that and he stated "YES" She told him ?no you throw that away and that is disgusting? and she looked back at my wife and I and told us that "We are normally not like this" Being the first time I had ever been in there "and the last" Leaving there never did I receive an apology. We paid the bill and left.If this is how they treat people in NewYork take it back there don't want it.
Pros: None
Cons: recooked pizza

The CitySearch Review system is absolutely WORTHLESS !!! Not just this Restaurant, but every one of them.
If you look at all of the "1-Star" and "5-Star" reviews, it is the only review written by the author. It si so very obvious that every one of those reviews were written by the Owners, employees and former, disgruntled employees that are fighting a "Ratings War", which is totally irrelevant to the Quality of the Establishment!
Pros: None
Cons: They are all Fabricators!

If you know anything about family, then you know it is hard to get along all the time. But, that is some of the best entertainment available at this pizza store. Our family enjoys dining in so we can watch the pizza dough flying and the sauce spreading. The parents are pure Sicilian so they know what their doing. When the store is not packed with people, the family takes time to really get to know their customers and make you feel at home. We have been customers for six years at the Apex store, and just love it! We have also been to the Fuquay store which is better-suited for dining in. The food is fantastic! The cheese blend is amazing - they use two different kinds of mozzerella!! Whatever spices they put in that sauce is magical. And, I got the inside scoop that the dad is very particular about how his dough is prepared FRESH DAILY! YOu couldn't ask for anything more EXCEPT A canoli - WHICH THEY HAVE! The wait-staff is friendly. During the games, it's a great place to grab a cold beer and a slice of pizza with your friends. They got humongo TVs displayed all around the restaurant whether you like football, basketball or baseball. There is usually a game on. It's true that the wait can be long, but why wouldn't you expect that when they got the BEST pizza around. I must agree with kitzycathorse about the Fuquaychicky - what a rude person she must be and insecure. How could you make comments about a person's weight? Sounds more like a child wrote that review than a mature adult AND has absolutely nothing to do with how great the food is. Sometimes, we just can't get what we want right when we want it. Give the girl behind the counter a break! The wait can be long, the food is worth it and it's not the employees' fault. But, good things come to those who wait. What can I say, the place is popular, the family is sweet, hard-working and the food is Delicious! We'll be coming back again and again.
Pros: Family-owned, good cheese, great sauce, wonderful environment, stone baked
Cons: the wait is long

MAN! The chicky who smacked down on the heavy set girl seriously hates big folks - is that a hate crime? The jest of the comments seemed like hate crime to me. OR, maybe fuquay chicky is jealous of the heavy girl's pretty face and the fact that she is family. Bottom line - she showed her hate and her ignorance. Make love, not hate :) We we don't show love and mercy, we caaaan't get it.
Love J&S NY Pizza - have eaten many things on the menu - no complaints. I have actually been to New York some and YEAH MON! the pizza is good and maybe gets better as it lives longer down south :) The pizza place family members makes you feel like one of them. YES! The wait can be long, but when 200 people show up at a restaurant at once and there are only 75 chairs - hello? The wait was worth it and the waitress we had, Becca, was very attentive and smiley, and she hustled her tables.
The family are pure Italians and the parents, who started it, started in Brooklyn many years ago after coming to states from Italy - now how can this food be called bland? Italians don't make bland food and I have it straight from the dad that he does all the pizza dough and does not think anyone can learn the pizza dough trade and get it right unless they have done it for 10 years!!!!! Too bad the employees can't hang that long to "get it."
J&S - keep doing what you are doing - working hard, trying hard and the location is great and mucho needed - a family restaurant in the cute down town area with outside seating, cafe style when warm. Much luck in 2009!!!! WE WILL BE BACK OH AND WE LOVE THE APEX STORE TOO! Thanks for new TV there :)
Pros: Plenty of parking in the back, great food, authentic Italian, even their grocer
Cons: Might have to wait a little, but very popular place - hello?
