This Salvation Army is the biggest, cleanest and most well-kept Salvation Army I've ever been to. They have great bargins and everyday there is always a sale going on, like 50% off childrens clothing, or 50% off white tags, etc... The parking is a little rough, and sometimes its hard to find a spot, but well worth it.

Tracklements, located at 212 E. Kingley in Kerrytown, sells simply the best smoked gravlax and smoked salmon ever produced.
The prices are reasonable, cheaper than nearby Zingermans.
The only drawback is that the store keeps limited hours (Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9-3), so you need to plan ahead for your events and cravings.
I cried when the owner went on vacation for the month of July, and I was not alone.

I absolutely love The Getup Vintage. They have the BEST clothing and jewelry in Ann Arbor, hands down! I shop there at least once a week and I never leave disappointed, new items everyday. I really love the dresses from the 50's. My boyfriend buys vintage t-shirts and pearl snap westerns from this store. Every time I wear a vintage piece from there I get loads of compliments, and when I tell that person where I got it from they all say the same thing I never heard of The Getup.
Look for it on the 3rd floor above Mr. Greeks and next to Urban outfitters.
If more people shopped there, the world would be a cooler place.

The merchandise at Lewis Jewelers is absolutely beautiful. They have such a high end selection and are quite reasonably priced. We purchased my husband's wedding ring from Lewis Jewelers a few years back. It was the only store in the state of Michigan that actually carried the designer that we were looking for. Their selection of jewelry is completely different and unique to anything else that we have seen. Their customer service is world class as well. They aren't just worried about the current sale....they work to keep you as a client for life. They have a few customer appreciation parties each year, and it never fails to receive a holiday greeting from them as well. They are wonderful to work with, and they always try to be flexible in the prices. I would recommend this jeweler to everyone!

The Tree, located on 419 Detroit St near Kerrytown in Ann Arbor, is a unique Ann Arbor institution, which unfortunately is going out of business by year's end. The clothing are nicely organized, and the stock contains a lot of nice mens and womens office wear. The sales are quite good, with 50% or 75% off of already discounted prices. The staff are picky about what the store will sell to customers.

Kerrytown market is a very nice weekend farmers market. they sell fresh fruits and vegetables. During the summer time, they are also open on wednesday noons. you can take the "links" for free by showing your university ID cards, otherwise, the link only charges you for about 25 or so. so it is really convenient to get to the market. there are nice little shops about the markets, and there are very good bakeries too!

wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. so many flavors to choose from and he will do whatever you want. business is out fo his home and he does an amazing job! many sizes and styles to choose from as well. cakes for all occasions- weddings, showers, parties- so much better than a grocery store cake! owner works out of his home and the cake shop is in the basement. not to pricey either!!
