Gallup Park is a great place to go if you're looking to have a picnic with friends and then go canoing on the Huron River. While Gallup Park doesn't have the wide open spaces that The Arb has, it has a rental place where you can grab a canoe and jump on the water. While it may cost you $40 or more to rent a canoe somewhere else, at Gallup Park it's much cheaper and affordable for students to go and take a lazy ride on the river. It's a good time for everyone during the summer with beautiful scenery. It's worth a look if you're looking to do something different with your days in Ann Arbor.

Lots of fun when you are looking for somthing to do in the summer. Beer, german food, german music and dancing, fun, fun and more fun. Families and kids welcome and encouraged. Pay to get in and pay for tickets once you are in for food and beverages. Many picnic tables and seating available. Runs the last Saturday of June, July and August.

This is a wonderful outdoor pool. The locker rooms are clean, the water was clean and a good temperature, and I was able to do lap swim with no one else in the lane. Affordable price and is even cheaper if you're an Ann Arbor resident. Easy parking.

Rental facility and museum. I had my wedding reception here and it was cheaper because I am an Ann Arbor resident. Beautiful 'barn-like' building that has a balcony with upper seating as well. Kitchen for catering set-up and space for dance floor. Staff/rental coodinator is great too- she answered all my questions. Lots of parking for guests. Ownded by the City of Ann Arbor.
