New York Pizza Depot (NYPD) is hands-down, Ann Arbor's best pizzaria. They offer a wide variety of toppings on their "specialty" pizzas, and usually have four to six different kinds available by the (very large) slice at meal times. They also offer excellent "garlic knots" and the milkshakes rival any in the area. NYPD also offers delivery, which is generally prompt.

New York Pizza Depot (NYPD to its fans) is located at 605 East William in Ann Arbor.
This is pizza at its greasy best, just like we used to get in New Jersey (actually better) down to the parmesean cheese in the case that can be sprinkled on later.
They even have garlic knots.
The entrees are good as well, as are the salads, but the star of this opera is pizza, available stuffed or topped with an array of specialties.
The stuffed eggplant pizza is excellent, and the mushroom, garlic and mediterreanean pizzas.
New seating helps accomodate a large lunchtime crowd.

NYPD has great pizza by the slice at any time. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch, or a slice of pizza after leaving the bar, NYPD has a variety of pizza options anywhere from Mediterranean chicken, to stuffed pizza with eggplant. While a whole pizza is pricey, the slices are reasonable as one slice is a meal by itself. Also if you're a late night eater, like I am, you should check out the late night specials. After a hard night of studying a small one topping pizza and a 32 ounce pop hits the spot, and doesn't hurt the wallet at only $3.99 plus tax. It's a great deal if you like to eat after 10 p.m. so definitely check it out!

New York Pizza Depot, better known as NYPD, or pronounced “Nipp-idd” by my friends and myself, is the closest thing native New Yorkers will find to real New York pizza. It’s by far the best pizza in Ann Arbor, and maybe in the Midwest. Good pizza sure is hard to come by and they got it good. Prices could be cheaper.
