If you are looking for uncomplicated relaxation this is the place! The Santa Ana flows through the property, for most cabins right off the back deck. Relax, play some horseshoes, take a hike, or just sit back and enjoy nature. That's what your are offered here. We take some wine, candles, good conversation, a good book and leave everything else behind.
We just got back from out 5th trip since the fall of 06.
The cabins are rustic but clean. Since weve been staying there we have seen continual improvements. If you are the type that needs to be pampered you should go elsewhere.
For a nice change from cooking, a little further down the road is the Seven Oaks RV and camping park. Talk about friendly people and a clean place to enjoy a beer, a little grub and good conversation with the REAL people of the mountain. Make sure you stay 2 nights to enjoy this place as well.
We would highly recommend a trip to the 7 Oaks Mountain Cabins if you want to enjoy a step back in time with a few comforts of today.
We're already looking forward to our next visit and the funny thing is we live in the mountains only 59 miles away!

I have to admit that in all the years I have lived in Big Bear I hadn't stopped here on my way down the hill, until one day when there was an accident slowing traffic on 38. I was happily surprised at this quaint little restaurant. Good service, good food and a very comfortable lay back feeling. Afterwards, the kids and I wandered over to the gift shop and found some cute stuff. If you have time, this is a very nice place to take a break and visit.

This is a cute place! The cabins are SOO adorable and rustic! If you have a group gathering, and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I recommend Whispering Pines. You can hike nearby trails, fish on the lake or just sit on the furniture they provide for you and enjoy the birds signing, the squirrels running around the park.

This place was nice and quiet, near a river, and near a state highway so that you couldnt get too lost. I think it was safer to take my cousins here then to go to a far away place that we would get lost, they would get scared, and there would be nothing i could do. The scenery here is pretty nice, and the trees smell so great.
