When we were in Alaska last year, we happened to be traveling on my husband's birthday. We usually eat sushi on the birthdays, so we went looking for a sushi joint in downtown Anchorage. We found Yamaya's. It was the cutest little place I have ever had sushi. It was smallish, and packed to the gills, with locals. So we knew we were in the right place. We dined under a forest of hanging plants, that decorated the restaurant. It was refreshing. All of the sushi was perfectly fresh, and very tasty. We ate till we were growing our own gills. I highly suggest Anchorage in the summer, and this sushi place.
