We eat out every weekend. This is the only Chinese restaurant we eat at since the Bear Paw in Eagle River changed ownership. They should put more tofu in the hot and sour soup and they should let you know how large their portions are. I meal can feed 2 people. Don't even think about getting soup an entree and egg roll you can't eat it all
Pros: Excellent
Cons: not enough tofu in hot and sour soup

It's light and chewy and crispy and solid and airy, just like perfect pizza crust should be.
Good family-run atmosphere and the wine by the glass is the best deal in town. Beer by the pitcher also.
Never rushed or hurried and a great place for a long conversation with friends.
Pros: Toppings are fresh and real but the crust is the star.

I love this place and it is one of the few places besides Costco where my husband will eat. They do a good job on whatever I, or my friends, have ordered. The portions are generous and with a group, each ordering something different, and serving family style we all eat well.
Pros: Food! Inexpensive, reservations taken for a larger group
Cons: there's extra parking behind the shell station

Great fresh alaskan seafood. The service is good. I know a couple of nice girls that work there. They've got a good salad bar and the interior has a cozy, yet salty feel to it. Prices are a little hokey it feels like, but it's definitely worth it. Can't do much better with seafood in town unless you go really upscale.

Anyone who has a chance to eat at the Marx Brothers and passes it up is missing a really special meal. The food is simply remarkable. This is a small intimate place in a rather small old house just off the inlet.
Try the Cesar Salad. It is a bit more "in-your-face" than some. But I find it delicious. There are no entrées on menu that I have tried that were not superb. Depending on the season, the fish dishes can be outstanding. Of course, so is the lamb...and so is the veal.
While they have an array of tantalizing desserts, I prefer the cheese plate (notably blue) with a glass of port. Let them recommend the port.
And speaking of wines, I am sure that they have one of the best or possibly the best wine selection in Alaska. You are dealing with some folks that have a VERY good handle on quality wines.
In brief, this is one of those destination places.

I had never had Joaxacan (spelling?) food before dining here and was pleasantly surprised! We stopped because it was in the area we were out and about in and when I didn't recognize anything on the menu I was concerned. It only took the one visit to be hooked on their special tacos and we made many visits after that just for those! I miss them!

my pizza was delivered fast for free, hot and delicioussss....
they are open until 5 am, and they have a great new owner, plus they deliver everywhere!!!
they dont only sell pizza but subs dinner, salads, and appetizers, even desserts!
ive worked on many pizza places, but i have to admit it this pizzas are the best ive ever tasted!
the place has a new owner, so its different now, everything is delivered fast!

This was recommended by an Anchorage dweller as his favorite sushi place as I was traveling on business. Definitely worth the trip. Service was great and the chef's suggestions were helpful. My favorite was the Oh Baby roll. It had everything, eel, spicy tuna and crab. Must give this one a try.
