I go there often. Sometimes I buy a little but I often buy a lot. Great place to find fabric to inspire you. Previous years quality fabric available at a major discount.

I decided along time ago that I would forego friendly atmosphere for great fabric and the best deals in the OC! My Mom won't even go there with me, but I just grin and enjoy touching fabric! I've been sewing for 40 some years and I have watched stores go and go, this one is still affordable and helps me satisfy my sewing junky need! I will keep going. . .

Every time I go to this store, I come home angry. I love the store. The selection of fabric is just unbelievable, and the price is great. The people who work in the store, are by far the rudest employees I have ever met in my 53 years. Any place else if you were that rude, I could guarantee that you would not last, especially when you are dealing with the public. I think this is a family run business, that is why they keep everybody around. Do not dare and ask a question because they will bite your head off. The tone of voice they use with customers should be unacceptable. They literally throw things at you. They do not want to cut the fabric they way you would like to have it cut. Not even the slightest smile or thank you or nothing. I guess they know that they are one of the few great fabric stores in the neighborhood, so they could treat the customer any way they want. The store is always crowded, people seem to buy by quantity. I wish people would boycott them long enough, so they could shape up and treat customers with some decency.....Alice K.

Since there are not very many fabric stores around anymore with a good selection of fabrics, that point alone makes M & L a must to go to. In the back of the store they have stacks and stacks of flat fold fabrics to choose from, if you are strong enough to pull them out!! They have a very good selection that are easier to get to that are on bolts, but watch out if you don't put them back exactly the way they were!!! The rudest and unfriendliest bunch of employees work there!! I think they have to pass a rudeness test before they hire them!! They are well known for being rude to customers. You just wish there were more fabric stores to choose from, so that they wouldn't get so much business!!

If you ever need a particular fabric, make sure you check out M&L fabrics. Although they are not the cheapest ever, you will find really cool different prints and such. I made special trips here to find reproduction bark clothe and oil clothe. They're one of the only places that carry it. They also have a large selection of polka dots and ginghams. This place is huge and you'll be stuck there for hours! Just don't count on any good customer service because the employees hate us!

M & L is famous around here for being a fabric heaven. Its a huge building filled with every type of fabric imagineable. There are rows and rows of bolts of fabric, then there are aisles and aisles of fabrics piled so high, I am lucky that I am 5'10", or else I would have a heck of a time seeing anything. And the prices on most of their stuff is pretty low. So where does the "but" come in...the service is atrocious. I have never seen such blantantly rude employees...in fact, they are known for their terrible service! If you want to look at a bolt of fabric and pull it out to view it, you get glares and stares and if you actually have the audacity to decide you don't want it, and go to put it back, they run over and yell at you, grab it from you and put it back! I watched yesterday as the employee ran over and yelled at a customer for this very thing. So, don't expect much from the service, in fact...piss them off and laugh at them when they are giving you a hard time. Its the only way to get through the visit without blowing up!

For those of you who still sew, or for those of you who do crafts or quilting, there is a fabric store you must see; M & L Fabrics at 3430 W. Ball Rd. in Anaheim. The minute you walk in the door you will be awed by the overwhelming amount of fabric. They have flat fold specials starting at $1.00 yard. You will find every type of fabric you could possibly want. They also carry notions, such as patterns, trims, thread, zippers, etc. They carry anything you could want, or need, for sewing. One thing to remember is to take someone tall and strong along with you. The stacks of flat fold fabrics are piled so high, you need help getting what you want out of the stack It is especially a good place to go for flannel. At $1.69 a yard, it is hard to beat. Don’t miss their back room, where they have lots more flat fold fabrics including knits, quilted fabric, upholstery fabric, and more. They also have rows and rows of bolts of fabric in every color and design you could want at a great price. For the sewer or quilter it is definitely worth the drive. The last time I was there, they were not accepting personal checks, but they do accept ATM cards with the Visa or Mastercard logo. And, they do accept credit cards and cash, of course. I would suggest you call them ahead of time to check what method of payments they are currently accepting.
Their phone number is 714 995-3178.
