My wife and I just moved into the area and tried Red and Green for the first time tonight. The ambiance here is nice, and the service was very good. As others have said, it was only half-full at 8pm on a Friday night. The food was touch and go... The calamari was light and tasty, as was the cucumber and mango salad that came with it. The Devil's Roll was also very good - fresh and well-rolled. However, the "Rice Paper Roll w/ Shrimp" was basically a generic Basil roll. The Yami Yami roll was good, but too heavy on the sauce. The crab stuffed jalapenos were decent, but bland. Total bill was, with (admittedly) several drinks, was about $90 + tip. Not the end of the world, but considerably overpriced for the product. We'll be going back, but will be more picky with our order.
Pros: ambiance, service, half of the food
Cons: overpriced, the rest of the food

We tried this local sushi & tapa restaurant two weeks ago & we just love it. Everything is very detail form design, food & service. It is more upscale than rest of the asian restaurant. We think it is totally worth of the money. You can't find any other asian restaurant with the ambience like Red & Green. But I think this is not the ordinary restaurant for everyone. Only the true diner will appreciate it. See for yourself.
Pros: ambience, creative food, fresh sushi

We are regulars at this great local restaurant with a downtown Atlanta feel. George is a great host and will do whatever he can to be sure you have a great evening. The interior is very creative but often chilly so be prepared. The food is very creative - enjoy the tapas based menu and explore. The entrees are also a taste treat but seldom go there after the tapas. We highly recommend this spot.
Pros: Reasonably priced, Creative Menu

Definitely give this a try. It's a drive out of the city, but it's unique. You have to be careful about what you order, so ask some other diners.
I can't remember what I asked for.

If there is room at the Sushi bar make sure to pull up a seat and allow Tim to work his magic (let him know Julie & Josh said hey). I promise you won't be disappointed.
Pros: SUSHI, Tim the Sushi Chef, romantic
Cons: a little pricy, not for large groups

My wife and I revisited the restaurant for our Anniversary. They are only open for dinner nowadays. They do not serve the heavenly buns our silken tofu soup anymore :(
But what they do have is a wonderful Asian inspired tapas and sushi menu. We had 4 dishes, one Miso soup (c'mon, you can't beat a $2 bowl for dinner anywhere) and a sushi roll (everything beautifully presented) and I had two beers and the price was under $60 with tip and we were stuffed and had a little to go box as well. Next time I will try more sushi since it seemed to be so well prepared. Nice service and attention as always. We sincerely wish them success.
Pros: ambience, food

"Gracefully blends asian flavors..." This is very inaccurate. I do not see any blending at all- rather a hodgepodge of anything Asian that was researched in an off-the-shell cookbook by an enterprising businessman who thinks exotic-looking plate arrangements can make diners fork over lots (and I mean lots!) of dollars for food that can be had in an average Chinese restaurant. The only pro I saw was the prompt seating- as the place was half-empty on a Saturday night. Good luck.
Pros: Prompt Seating, Quiet (no people), Nice Plating
Cons: Too Expensive, Tiny Portions, Salty Food

Before breaking out in superlatives about "Red & Green Pan Asian", I would suggest that diners try other "asian" restaurants- and there are many, in the Metro-Atlanta area. The bottom-line is that "Red & Green" is one over-priced, over-hyped restaurant. My wife and I spent close to $100 for dinner (without wine) and still felt compelled to pass by the Arby's nearby to ward off hunger pangs! I could have gotten comparable sushi at Publix at a fraction of the cost. Sure, the plate presentation was attractive; but this was not supposed to be a photo-shoot. I'd be among the many to applaud if this restaurant closes. Too pretentious. Too much hype. A major disappointment.
Pros: Presentation, Location, Ambiance
Cons: Expensive, Average Food, Small Portions
