Went for a weekday buffet. This was after we had tried other restaurants in the area - Madras Chettinad, Tadka, Sri Krisha Vilas. So the hopes were high. But as another reviewer has already written. Do not believe the ratings. This is especially true about Santoor. There wasn't a single dry curry. Even curries that are traditionally dry were "liquidy". The consolation was the sweet lassi we ordered separately. The cost of the buffet was close to what you would pay for at all of the above restaurants where the variety and quality of food far surpasses Santoor. The service is very good and friendly but if that is the only thing good, that cannot be the motivation to go to this restaurant!! Poor..poor...poor
Pros: Good service
Cons: Bad food, not enough variety

Very bland curry, even when we asked for spicy. Really disappointing as the owners said they moved here from Sheffield, UK, so we were expecting the same level of curry we get in the UK. They really need to update the style of curry. BLAND and really over priced too.
Pros: NONE
Cons: Bland food, Expensive.

There is no Indian restaurant that does not have a 4 / 4.5 star review. Pl be careful. We are an unethical breed of people and inflate our ratings. Least realising that all indian restaurants end up being 4.5 on 5. Pl use word of mouth and personal discretion to visit all of these restaurants.
I wish health and happiness in yr experimentation with food.

I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants here in Atlanta and in Chicago and New York as well, and Santoor is still my all-time favorite. You might not think you'd find something like this in a little strip mall in the suburbs, but there it is and the food is always delicious. My wife and I are big fans of the chana masala, aloo sag and vegetable korma, but we've never ordered anything here we didn't like. The samosas and nan breads are the best I've ever had. The rice pudding is also especially good. The service isn't lightning fast, but it's always sincerely friendly. A must-try if you're in Roswell and well worth the drive if you live in the city.
Pros: authentic, consistently delicious food

I'm by no means an Indian food expert. I have been to more than one restaurant in the Atlanta area, however, and Santoor is my favorite. The food is always delicious, and we always have leftovers to take home. The owners of the restaurant are very friendly and recognize us when we come in. I've only been there about 10 - 15 times in the past year, and he knows my favorite beer! The only thing I would caution against is do not go here thinking you'll be in and out in an hour, but it's a quality experience all the same.
Pros: Food, Friendly
Cons: Hard to find

As far as we are concerned Santoor is one of the best Indian restaurants in the South. My wife is from England and we always compare the Indian restaurants that we eat at in the US to the great ones that we have eaten at in London and the rest of England and Santoor ranks with the best of them. The offerings are simple and to the point but that is how we prefer it because we know it is always consistent and good. Plus, their prices are very reasonable for the quality of food that is offered. If we take friends out that have never had Indian we always take them to Santoor because we know we can depend on a quality meal. One of our favorite meal is to order a dish of Chicken korma (sweet) and a dish of Chicken Madras (hot) or Vindaloo (incredibly hot) and then combine the two. The Sag Aloo is a great side dish with potatoes and spinach. Don't miss the Shrimp Puree for an appetizer. It is wonderful. We prefer the cream version but the tomato version is also nice. When you go to Santoor you have to be patient. It is a mom and pop restaurant and sometimes mom and pop can get pretty busy but the food always arrives hot and delicious - well worth the wait.
Pros: Fantastic food!!
Cons: Good food somtimes take time to make!

I have only been once, I really need to go back again as the food was excellent. I had a chance to speak with the owner there she mentioned they had an additional restaurant over by 400 and home depot expo. We also talked about London as they had a restaurant over there. Overall the food was great along with the service. I would forget about the decor and atmosphere of the place. I wonder what the deal is with Indian restaurants in Atlanta do they all have to make the decor so tacky !!

I've lived in Atlanta for many years, and I've eaten at various Indian restaurants. Sitar of Tandoori on Peachtree and Maharajah on LaVista used to both be faves before they closed. However, Santoor is surely a great way to cope with those losses: I tried it for the first time last night, and was very pleased. We had Vegetable Chaat as an appetizer; my husband had Chicken Tikka Masala for his entree, while I ordered Lamb Korma, and both were so good that we wanted to keep eating them after we were full. Our heads turned at the wonderful smell emanating from another diner's Tandoori mixed grill of lamb, chicken, and I -think- shrimp.
We chatted for a few moments after our meal with one of the owners, and it seems they vary their lunch buffet daily to keep things fresh and interesting. She said they have Chicken Makhani sometimes on the weekend buffets, which is certainly a draw for me as that's one of my favorite Indian dishes. We will definitely be returning to Santoor for more savory, flavorful Indian cuisine.
Pros: Delicious Indian cuisine
Cons: At busy times, it might be difficult to find a parking space
