Rohsler's Allendale Nursery is the best nursery in Bergen County. They specialize in having specimen and other unusual plant material that you just don't find anywhere else. The staff there is extremely knowledgeable and can give you informed advice on the best plants to use in y our situation. The nursery is also known for the care they give to the plants while on display in the nursery. Everything gets carefully watered and fertilized on an ongoing basis so that when you make a purchase you know it will survive if you continue to care for it.

They also have wonderful seasonal displays for Christmas, including Christmas trees and wreather and Halloween including gourds, scarecrows and Indian Corn. When I'm in the market to spice up my container garden, I visit Rohslers Nursery in Allendale first. They have healthy, vibrant plants, a large rose section for those who wish to plant a rose garden, and more. There is a reason that this nursery is always bustling with customers. Every time I visit, I come away with a plant or a garden accessory. I am not what you would call a green thumb, and the staff is very helpful in educating you on all things green. Browse outside through colorful areas with blooming flowers for planting and hanging. There are garden statuaries for sale outside as well. You can mix and match items when they are on sale for the same price (i.e. 2 for $10). On a summer day, the exterior shopping area is hot--during the fall season, you can select from gourds and pumpkins for sale. Inside there are lovely dried flower and silk flower arrangements, gifts for the home, candles, and garden flags. Rohslers also will work with you for your wedding flowers--wonderful, since I know first hand how well their plants grow and blossom. Also inside are seeds for sale and bulbs in case you want to prepare your garden bed for the next season. I am a perpetual shopper at Rhoslers. I'm there almost every week once Spring hits. They have a phenomenal selection of herbs and plants, a beautiful selections of plants, they have Koi& water garden supplies, garden decor and a wonderful gift shop. When planting season is over don't forget to go back for the gift shop treats, They offer a Halloween Spook house that had my grandaughter and I running thru it screaming! Christmas becomes a wonderland there, a great place for the Christmas shopping list that needs a new angle. ALso, keep them in mind for Weddings!!I love that the staff is always ready to educate you when you have a questions, most of them have been there a long time, they become your friends as well as your helpful gardening advisors.
