We wanted a nice small wedding with a western/rustic feel. So we thought the Southfork would be a good place. The wedding coordinator was a psycho, and was either over- or under-medicated. Hard to tell. They charged us full adult buffet price for all four of the 3-year olds that attended our wedding! They acted like they were giving us a deal because they didn't charge us for the open-bar for the 3-year-olds!!!! Ridiculous.
Credit where credit is due...the food was good.

What a cool walk down memory lane! Fun to walk around the house and see the pool. THe gift shop is really pricey and there were some things I wished I could afford, but was nice to see Jock's car!

I attended a dance year this past year for my high and was very pleased with the facilities. The room that the event was held in was very spacious. The lighting was perfect -- a bit dim to create a romantic feeling but not too dark that it was uncomfortable. The ranch itself is spread over a big area of land and also offers such amenities as a gift shop and a house to tour. The ranch is located a bit far for my taste, however. It seems to me that I literally have to drive to the middle of nowhere to get to this destination.

Being Fans of Dallas it would only be natural to visit South Fork when living in Dallas. The grounds are lovely and the tour is very informative, but the inside is not like the movie at all which was a bit dissapointing. The little train ride is great and the shop is quaint. A worthwhile visit I think.

We went here to enjoy a visit to Southfork Ranch which was made famous by a Dallas TV series. We toured the mansion and grounds,the museum and saw horses and Longhorns. There's also Miss Ellie's Deli restaurant and Lincoln's and Longhorns western store featuring original Lincoln Continental Jack Ewing drove in the show. This is a great place to go. Would definately recommend it to anyone.
