Dr Dana is wonderful. He first worked at another clinic in town, and of the four or five vets that worked there, he was the only one I liked, and we followed him to his new clinic. In the more than ten years we've had him for our vet, he has only taken one pet to the back for a procedure once. Having worked for a vet, it is quite normal to take animals out of sight for certain procedures because pets fight back, and most owners don't like to see the fight. The animal may have to be positioned a certain way, and you can't explain to the pet why it has to be in such a vulnerable/uncomfortable position. It's distressing to both pet and owner. Spring of 2007, my cat died suddenly, Dr Dana spent time talking to me about what happened and seemed genuinely sorry for my distress. My father went to several vets before seeing Dr Dana at my suggestion. He loves Dr Dana as well. Dr Dana was willing to work with my dad regarding long term allergy problems his dog was having until they finally found a solution. He would talk on the phone with my father which avoided visit fees. He provided us a prescription to take to Petsmart so we could pick up our prescription cat food there - which is far more convenient. In ten years, he has only been late for one appointment and that was due to an emergency. Also, Dr Dana doesn't see the need for extended tests until they are truly necessary, doesn't pressure you into other services (like dentistry), and recommends alternative options when they are available. He's a practical, no-nonsense, realistic vet who understands that not everyone has all the money and time in the world.

There is no woman in New Mexico who could resist a trip to Shoes on a Shoestring. They have more shoes than you know what to do with. You will almost pass out when you walk in from the selection alone. The shoes are organized by color versus size which is great. They have every kind of shoe you would ever imagine and then some. Then even have very narrow and very wide.
The best kept secret is the shoes that are seasonal they put what the price when be in the upcoming months. Don't hold your breath that they will be there but it is fun to see it.

I did a review on this nature center because is good to take your whole family. This 270 acre park along the Rio Grande bosque, or riparian forest, is a sanctuary for warblers and waterfowl, coyotes, and 100-year-old cottonwood trees. I enjoyed time I spent there and recommend it for the whole family.
