Zio's was much better than any other Italian restaurant I've tried in the area. The food had a taste I've never tasted anywhere else. And our server was friendly and attentive to our needs. If you do get sub-par service, remember that you're in New Mexico. It's the third most impoverished state in the country. If you think the employee pool here is going to be anywhere close to good, think again.
Pros: Best food I've had for the price.
Cons: There's only one in New Mexico.

We live in Austin and travel everywhere. It is not often that by chance we find a restaurant that has all the right ingredients. The food was great, sliced tenderloin and the salmon. They had our favorite wine, Ferrari Carano Fume Blanc at only $26! Brian the waiter was attentive and informed. He suggested we try the Cellar after dinner. Easy listening jazz, "Midnight Creepers", great service again even though it was very busy. The owner dropped by during dinner to check on our experience. Thank you, Kevin, it was great!
Pros: Super Food, Service, and Music
Cons: We don't live there!

This place has a lot of advantages. It has a good location and a good lunch buffet with plenty of parking. You can get in and out quickly and still feel like you had a reasonably priced somewhat exotic meal. The Kim Chi and Bulgogi (Korean dishes) are nice additions to a standard Oriental restaurant fare.
Pros: Price, Parking, Exotic
Cons: None really

own a business in Albuqerque and live in Nob Hill. Moved to the area about a year ago after living in most major metropolitan areas in the U.S. (New York, San Francisco, etc.) and travel extensively. I've eaten at Yanni's about a dozen times or more over the past year but no more. The daytime and Sunday waitstaff leave much to be desired: having to be reminded about refilling drinks, taking their time with orders and being generally impolite. On a couple of occasions stomach ailments have quickly followed a meal here. I order take out occasionally on a Thursday night (our family night), show up in person and tip generously. On two occasions the barstaff has refused take outs, on the order of the owner, because they are "too busy". On this occasion half the tables were empty, the bar was almost empty and I was in person. The restaurant is in Nob Hill but apparently doesn't care about the customer or possible regulars. I say their attitude is big city exclusive in a mediocre restaurant town. The food is okay but not up to what I have gotten in the most run of the mill Greek establishments in almost any other city with a more sizable Greek population. Not recommended for bad attitude, mediocre to middling food and poor service.
Pros: Good location and hard to find Greek food in Albuquerque
Cons: Specific cons outweight the pros

Most of our out of town business travelers stay at the Wyndham. In addition, our company uses their facility services for offsite events including our annual holiday party. The rooms are good, but not great. Their event facilities are very good and their planning staff is very easy to work with. The food catered for our events has been above average. In addition, their bar area is very nice.

Ok, if you are a hippie, an artist, a student, or a local coffee shop junkie you will love this place. I did at first too. Until I walked in and it smelled dirty, like unshowered people. It was gross. Aside from that, it's alright. It's a total local hang out and ya gotta deal with all the regulars hanging around. Prices have gone up. The have food and very good breakfast burritos. They have this awesome green chili sauce that you can't really get anywhere else, a secret recipe. They do their own roasting there so coffee is fresh and yummy. The support local artist and so there is always art up on the wall that they change every week. And I guess what makes them really popular is their location, right across the street from UNM...hmmm
