A bait and switch kind of place 8/27/2013

Purchased a new truck and agreed on a price of $24004. After a long wait of over 2 hours we were finally called to the finance office. The paperwork started with the correct price of $24004. I never thought to triple check all the dollar signs at the end to make sure the price was still the same. When reviewing the paperwork a few days later i realized they raised the price to $25998 before tax title and license. (my fault for not triple checking the original price we agreed on). They show you the correct price then pile a bunch of paperwork in front of you to sign with a different price. seeing the correct price to start with i never thought to check it on all the paperwork. (bait and switch). Nice job Reliable Nissan, you have lost any future business from me and anyone i meet in the future. more

this place is crappy. 3/7/2012

I called for a estimate on a timing belt. I spoke to Michelle. She works in the service dept. She told me she would look the price up and call me back. I asked to stay on hold thinking a price for that service could be found in 5 minutes or so. Well I guess not. Michelle stated that she is "pretty busy" I still don't have the estimate from them. Now I'll drive across town and spend money. more

Horrible! 2/12/2010

Good: They had the exact car I wanted.. Bad: Everything else! First my wife and I walked up to the front doors where there were 6-7 salesmen all smoking (ever heard of the back door). Yeah, big turn off for some one who hates smoking to make your customers have to walk through it. Very unprofessional! I knew 3x as much about the car than the sales person did, which is not untypical, but then he proceeded to argue with me about specs and stuff on the car (even after showing him the window sticker proving I was right). Very Shady sales practices.. Improvements: Professional, caring, and no more scare tactics to get you to buy warranties that are unnecessary.. Other: We felt like we were Rocky who just had fought the Russian. We came out victorious with a good deal but not until after much scaring and brusing from their sales staff and finance guy trying to sell me every imaginable extended warranty and Gap insurance (even though we put enough down and only a 3 yr note so we'd never be upside down to need Gap insurance) who tried to convince me my car would fall apart as soon as I drove it off the lot and that Chevy wouldn't stand behind their own warranty. STAY AWAY!!!. more

Unethical sales practices part 2 6/6/2007

I went on line and built a vehicle and took the printout to Reliable. They showed me a totally different vehicle that was $10,000 more than the one I built. I told them I wanted to keep my payment at the same or lower, their first offer was almost 3 times my payment. I also wanted a certain body style so I could swap some components. After 6 hours they gave up, they had arranged financing with still unacceptable terms. I went to their website and checked their inventory; it showed three pages of the vehicle body style I was looking for, I then called the internet salesman, Christ Garnache, told him what I had found and the maximum down I could come up with. He called back, said it was done deal and I should clean out my vehicle and bring it down. Since we have mods we have made, that is an involved task. When we got there, they showed us a different body style. When I asked they said they had none of the other styles in stock. I showed them their web page and and all they said was the stock number are all for the other style. Then they told me the down would be $4000 more than I had said I could come up with. I will be reporting this to the state consumer affairs for bait and switch and false advertising more

Unethical Sales Tactics 1/1/2007

My wife and I visited reliable Chevrolet for a test-drive. A sales clerk, Adriana, asked for our phone number and I told her I did not want to give it to them, as I did not want to receive sales calls. She then said her manager told her that she could not take us on a test drive without the number as they needed them for "safety". I said I would give it only if they guaranteed I would receive no sales calls, which she guaranteed. I then gave her both my cell number and my wife’s. The next day we received a call from their sales department and we asked them not to call us again. Over the next week we received over 6 calls. On one occasion we spoke with Adriana again and reminded her what she promised us and asked her not to call. On each occasion we actually spoke with someone, they assured us they would not call back. However they keep calling. Therefore I went back in and spoke directly with Scott Lewis, the New Car Director, and told him not to call us again. He assured me they would not. Since that time nearly 2 weeks ago they have called and left messages three times. Earlier today I received another call from a sales associate, told him not to call again and told them I would report it to the Better Business Bureau. I feel that Reliable Chevrolet acquired my phone number fraudulently by blatantly lying to me and is now, by continuing to call over and over again, harassing my wife and I. We have received over 10 calls on our two phone numbers. This is unacceptable and I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau. more
