For some reason, this Borders is not as nice as the Barnes and Nobles. Maybe it's because they have tall bookshelves against the wall, and not close together free standing shelves. Or maybe it's the red paint. Or maybe it's all the toys that they sell. I am not really sure.
It was cool last year when they had the music group "They Might Be Giants" play at the store. It was completely random, but fun, and very crowded. To my knowledge, Barnes and Noble has not had anything like that.

Borders is an ok bookstore. They have a good selection, a cafe and a music store within. But I just don't get the same user friendly vibe I get at Barnes and Noble, which is right across the street. Also, Borders doesn't have quite the same amount of diversity in their books that B and N does, and couple that with the fact that the prices are the same, and I'll shop across the street.
