This is one of the best fish stores around. They have a great selection of very healthy fish. This is the only fish store (to my knowledge) that quarantines all of its fish before it puts them out for sale, so you are pretty much guaranteed to not bring home some nasty disease to your tank. They generally carry all of the usual suspects, as well as surprising you with some very unsual species once in a while. They also have one of the best selections of freshwater plants around.
The big downside to this store is that it's cramped and kind of scary. The floors sag in spots and it's very dark. But--the fish are in great health, and they almost always have very helpful, knowledgable staff here.

if you're into pottery, this is a great local shop to go to find clay, pottery tools, glazes, even pottery wheels and kilns. the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, and will point you towards the right kind of glazes or clay for your needs and experience level. several of the staff actually teach at local pottery studios!

This business is located near the bottom of Solano Avenue. It is a very small Photo place providing a speedy reliable service for photo printing. I have always been satisified with the quality of prints I have recieved here and though it costs a little more than Longs or other Drug Store Bigger chains I care about the quality of my prints so it will usually be my choice.

If you are in the market to get your clothes tailored or custom made or altered you really need to check out this place. they are highly experienced and do an amazing job at what they do. If you are on eof those who has tough times getting your favorite dress fitted after losing or gaining extra pounds, go to this place. I recently bought a dress from Macy's that I adored but didnot fit me that well...FBM did an amazing job. They take a little time but do an amazing job. Enough parking outside

I have found them to go out of their way to find just the perfect balloons that I needed traveling at their own expense to accommodate the special occasion. I can say that here is a shop that gives the excellent service that is sadly lacking in todays market.

When I was in high school, I used to come here at least once a week. Needless to say a lot (if not all) my allowance went towards baseball cards. They have since moved into a bigger store and I have gone back to visit them from time to time. Great guys (Doug and Darren), who will just sit and shoot the breeze with you when you come in. Great selection of cards, both singles and packs.

This is the Sweet Potatoes outlet store in Albany. My wife loves to go there and, of course, drags me along. Anyway, I don't mind if she saves money and this place is a lot cheaper that the actual retail store in Berkeley. They have a large selection of kids clothing discounted up to 70% off that I've noticed.

I really dont regularly shop at this store, only if i see special deals from their circular that are cheaper than the competition since its a bit of a drive for me.
Everytime ive been in the store it looked deserted I guess they do most of their business off the internet or phone orders. They were very willing to come and help me maybe it was to break from the boredom of not having customers in their large store. The parking lot although small was empty to I would hate to see what it would be like itf they ever got busy.
