Get your bowling shoes and put on your best goofy shirt, it's time to head out to Albany Bowl, Albany's coolest retro bowling alley!
Walking into the Albany Bowl is like a walk back in time. From the old neon lights on the outside of the building to the grungy bar inside, Albany Bowl is like a trip into a 70's movie.
They even have the pro shop where you can purchase a "glitter ball" and pom pom socks!
The food at Albany Bowl is particularly good for a bowling alley. They have Thai food, but they also have the regular greasy spoon items as well, such as chili cheese fries.
They have league nights and the infamous "rock and bowl" with loud music and black lights for the disco generation.

Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley is huge! They have so many things to do here. They have this really old merry go round for the kids to rid in and long bike trails for the mountain bikers. It's a really cool spot to visit and have a picnic or just chill and enjoy nature's stress relievers.

When I was in high school, I used to come here at least once a week. Needless to say a lot (if not all) my allowance went towards baseball cards. They have since moved into a bigger store and I have gone back to visit them from time to time. Great guys (Doug and Darren), who will just sit and shoot the breeze with you when you come in. Great selection of cards, both singles and packs.

A small shop on Solano in Albany. They have some tennis shoes, bags, racquets, and accessories (shock absorbers, grips, etc.), but the main thing that I went to this shop for was the restring my tennis racquet. The guys that work there are friendly and pretty fast - usually I can pick up racquet that same day or the next day. There's just something about a smaller store where you're more comfortable asking question or just getting to know the people that work there.
