I happen to personally work at the Federal Restaurant and as a server, cannot speak highly enough about the amazing talent not only in the kitchen but with the management team. The owners, Tina & Mike Presnal and Ralph Santaniello certainly know how to run a successful restaurant. They treat their staff as if they were part of their family and the passion they have for their business certainly shows in their food. Mike Presnal is by far one of the most creative and talented chefs in this state! I truly believe you could drop this restaurant in the middle of Manhattan and their would be a line out the door to get in. My recommendations are to try ANYTHING on this menu, fig poppers, truffled mac and cheese with short ribs, tenderloin with baked potato, you are promised a culinary experience that is like no other. As far as people mentioning price, I would like to know where else you can go to get that quality of food with atmosphere and impeccable service (if I may say so myself) around here. You MUST check this restaurant out, you will have a new favorite and never look at another restaurant around here the same.
