In a nutshell. I used Kiwi's Services to get my large area rug cleaned. Well they picked it up as scheduled and a month in a half later I got it back after several phone calls and an email later. So I have it back and it doesn't look very clean and the chemicals they use were so strong that it made our eyes water for days once it was unrolled. Of course they still took all the money for the service no discount or anything for taking so long on returning my rug. 2.5 weeks later I get a phone call asking me when I would like to have my area rug delivered, because it was ready. I laughed and told the lady I'm not sure who's rug you have, but it's not mine because it was delivered back to me over 2.5 weeks ago. So, I wouldn't use this service save your money and use someone better and willing to do the job you pay them to do.

Having cleaned carpets professionally, I am ashamed of myself for not doing my homework on this one. In a nutshell, their method of cleaning carpets is almost funny. They spray a mist of "cleaner" with a squirt bottle on the carpet and then use a buffering pad called a bonnet that spins in circles to "extract" the dirt. That is the same train of thought as squirting cleaner on a soiled shirt and rubbing it in and calling the shirt clean. Thinking your shirt is clean using the method explained previously is akin to believing your carpets are cleaner after Kiwi Carpet Cleaning gives you the bill. Just looking at the physics, there is very little extraction if any taking place with the bonnet because the friction of the pad will cause the emulsified dirt to burro back into the carpet. If anything you are just pushing the dirt farther into the carpet which will leave the same smell once the perfumes evaporate. If you value your money and sanity at all, please do not walk but run away from this company.

I used them for water extraction services (I had a flood in my basement). After doing the work, not impressed. Their contractor used all of my equipment to do the work (my circular saw, hammer, wheelbarrow, etc.) without my permission and damaged my items. For over three months Kiwi refused to send me an invoice, then sent me one that was incorrect and inconsistent with my estimate. They offered a 20% discount, then claimed that the discount only applied to a small portion of the work. Their so called customer service rep, Joe Harvey, is a joke. He is the reason that this nightmare has lasted for months. It should not take three months to send out an invoice.
Anyone who is interested in Kiwi, please don't do it it. Of any service provider that I have ever had do anything for me, they are by far the worst.
Cons: Terrible service, terrible resonsiveness

This is just a brief. Evidently I can only write 2,000 characters. Their "technician" leaves with bedside tables thrown on the beds, on top the very meticulously placed lamps and other bedside table valuables. Let's go to folding four, fairly expensive oriental rugs into what looked like napkins and throwing them onto the back of an open pickup truck on top of who knows what else. My other furniture is now strewn all over my living room on maple floors. The skid pads in little piles. I looked up just in time to catch the guy driving off with my napkin shaped rugs in the back of his truck. It wasn't until then that I took a look around and find the mess he had left with me. I immediately called Kiwi, asked that my rugs be returned, my furniture removed from my beds etc. After numerous phone calls and four days later, I receive a call from their "rug doctor" in Houston who is happy to report that he had finally received my rugs. "They are not suppose to be in Houston. Are they still folded up like napkins?" Well, yes they are. He'll check them over and call me back. Calls to say they're fine but there is a discoloration on one of them... there was something else that he really hated to tell me. "What it is? I'm thinking one is torn or something. "Well, there's a shoe." A Shoe? "There is a shoe folded up in one of the rugs." My daughter's Rainbo flip-flop. I got my rugs back yesterday, 10 days later. The discoloration? An oily area over a significant area of the rug but but they anot responsible and happy to report that I have been approved for a refund for the cost to not clean the rugs. Cost of carpet cleaning still my responsibility. Of course throw in days of utter frustration and a level incompetency beyond incomprehensible. Oh, and the "rug doctor" did share that if he can't get them clean, another company in Houston has better luck with that process....
Pros: None
Cons: Just read the review. It's worth your time.

Customer Service at Kiwi is very poor. My recent cleaning was not done well, and extra services were added at a significant additional fee. I have spent the last month trying to resolve this with them, but you cannot reach the customer service department directly without leaving a message for them to call back, and it takes days and repeated calls. The prolicy seems to be passing "the buck" There is always someone else to contact. My carpet was never cleaned porperly. I have not been able to get a refund for charges I did not request and have spent hours trying to reach the "proper person" This company once did a very good job, but now they are impossible and their cleaning services are certainly not of the quality they were in the past.

What an amazing cleaning service. I had problems with my pets and the carpet. The guy from Kiwi completely got rid of the smell and stains I had, worked patiently and explained everything he was doing. The warranty makes maintaining them so economical and I plan to call often. Also my carpets were dry in about 45 min, so I can't complain... definitely a great investment in my opinion.

I had a 5-7 pm appointment to have some area rugs picked up for cleaning. Kiwi had called in the afternoon to confirm the appointment, but they were a no-show anyway. They called me at 7:15 to say "No technicians were available". I rescheduled for the same time the following week, and they stood me up again! I had even called Kiwi at 6 pm to confirm that someone was coming. They told me that there was definitely a technician on the way. I got that same 7:15 pm call "No technicians were available". I got the impression from their customer service folks that they overbook on a regular basis. They just keep trying to sign you up for another try. It is obvious that their appointments are never a sure thing, so making a third appointment was out of the question for me.
