The food is really good here, but it's definitely on the pricey side. The service is pretty friendly and fast, though, so I'd still recommend it to anyone visiting Smithville.

The Smithville Inn has been at this location forever. I have been eating there since I was a kid. My parents had my 12th birthday party there. Many decades later, the original owners, Fred and Ethel are gone but the place continues to feature some of the same specials. Chicken Pot Pie is the most famous. It is decorated in colonial style. There is a big fireplace in the lobby...but they don't cook in it. The Inn is surrounded by shops and looks over a lake with geese. A wonderful experience. Brunch on Sundays, reservations a good idea.

The food is excellent. It is a very romantic quite atmosphere. Obviously expensive, but you certainly get what you pay for.

New owners and a new chef make this one of our favorite stops. Traditional country style Restaurant got much needed love from the present owners and recieved great results from recent reviews. Good food and good service is all I need to keep me coming back, add to that owners and managers making personal table visits and you really feel they care.
Pros: Wine prices, atmosphere, home cooking
Cons: strong coffee
