The aquarium itself is phenomenal, but how can the great educational experience be extended? Be sure to visit the gift store on your way out. There are many great educational items such as DVDs, books and more. For the younger ones there are stuffed animal dolls to help keep the motivation and memories alive. There are also stickers which can beautify any school notebooks.
Prices vary - some are reasonable, some maybe push it a bit to the high end. The store supports the aquarium which is another reason to patronize it.
Recommendation - visit it last as it is located next to the exit. Visiting it early may get too much of the gimmes going before being awed by all the cool animals and exhibits. Use the store to enhance the visit and not a bribe. By touring the exhibits the kids may gravitate more towards the educational items.
Of course, if you're a Seattle tourist there are some touristy items too.

We had the most delicious dinner, the salmon was cooked perfectly, the service was outstanding, and of course, the Luner Orbiter was just how I remembered when the space needle opened 62 when I was 7. Maybe the space needle is dear to my heart, and the needle was designed by a brilliant Mr. John Graham. I have eaten and spent alot of money in many fine restaurants in my time. and the space needle is at the top. I cant understand why anyone would complain because thy didn't get butter and salt on their asparagus. I can jolly well put my own salt and butter on asparagus.
Pros: the most comfortable seating and of coarse the view!
Cons: nooonnne!

I LOVE this theater. The most unique in Seattle for so many reasons. They played Blade Runner last month and the auditorium was over half full! From the velvet curtains, no commercials, the sparkly ceiling, the retro decor, the very mature audience that seems to frequent this theater...everything about Cinerama is a plus in my book (Besides the seats needing to be replaced)...

I live in Kentucky and I went to Seattle and to the underground tour on 9/30/2008 and what an experience! It was one of the best tours I have ever been on at any city! I am origanly from Savannah, GA and being from there I have been on many the tour of city history. I have to say though, never experiencing what I did in Seattle. Being underground at the door way into the area where the "seamtresses" were said to work, I was felt like and thought my husband had grabbed me on the arm by my elbow and when I looked down he was not touching me, he wasn't even where he should have been to have touched me there. No one was. I heard stories of many places being haunted or whatever being from an old city myself but that I have to say was my first time ever something of that nature happening to me. I can't wait to go to seattle again and doing the tour again to next time bring a camera and see if i can get a picture of proof of my experience of the Seattle underground. I recommend this tour to everyone!!
Pros: Best tour guides
Cons: Hard to find if you dont know the city well
