This place has a great menu with well prepared food. There's nothing fancy here, just a solid meal. I got a Fish Burrito & my wife got a Prawn Taco. Both were excellent. Our only complaint was that we ordered them to go and when we finally had a chance to sit down and enjoy the hot wraps had fallen apart inside the foil wrappers. If you're getting yours too go, then pick up a fork and lots a napkins.
We will definitely go again!
Pros: Excellent food at great price
Cons: hot burritos fall apart when ordered to go!

Yes, my boss and I took a trip today to Gordito's. We usually eat at Pho Tic Tac across the street and see tons of people going in and out of Gordito's all the time. So we agreed that some day we'll try it out and today was "THE DAY."
I ordered the steak burrito (wet) with mild sauce and made it a "plate" order(which means it comes with rice and beans) and my boss ordered steak enchiladas plate. We have been to many Mexican restaurants like Jalisco's which is really good, Mr. Villas which has homemade tortillas and really great mole sauce(my boss' preferred sauce), and I like Chipotle because of the freshness of their meats and vegetables especially the lettuce. Any ways, we were excited to eat and the place was just full of patrons, so we had really high expectations. However, we were entirely disappointed with the quality of flavor, wait a minute, what quality???
There was no flavor on the steak pieces, the salsa was very bland, but they did give us quantity. The burrito was huge, but it didn't make up for the lack of flavor.
So we sat there and finished our foods, only because I had paid $25 bucks for 2 plates and drinks to wash it down. Very disappointing. Will never go back!!!!!
Pros: quantity
Cons: Lack of flavor

We love this place !!! We have been going for years.
The prices don't change very often. This year the prices did go up, just like everywhere else. I heard that their cost went up about 20% but they only raise their prices by 5%. The 3% credit card charge is just a way to pass on the credit card charge that they pay. I think that it is great that they accept credit cards at all. I've heard that business owner pay rediculous amounts for accepting cards.
The food and service is worth every penny. The flavors are the same as they were when we discoverd Gorditos years ago. No matter how long I've been going there, my favorite is still the chicken fajita wet burrito (sometimes steak is my favorite). The burrito hasn't changed a bit, flavor and size. They did come out with a smaller item menu last year, and you can order your favorites in a smaller version. I still order the regular and take home leftovers, but this is a super nice option.
Thank you Gorditos !!!!!
Pros: Great food and great service
Cons: none

I've been going to Gorditos for fun & fast Mexican food for several years. I went in last night for the first time in several months and was annoyed with the changes they have made to the menu. The food was the same, and still tasted pretty good (prawn fajita quesadilla is really the best thing I've found there and everything else is pretty standard). However, the "new" higher prices on the menu are for CASH ONLY and they will charge you 3% more for using a credit card. I had cash so I didn't complain, but come on! Why punish people for using a credit card? And I know 3% isn't much, but it surprised me for a restaurant to have this policy. The prices are already much higher than they were a couple years ago. Seems like they are getting arrogant with their reputation around Seattle and don't want to be bothered with customer service. I'm fed up with their rules (this new 3% thing & only ONE basket of chips per table) and don't think I will return. I'll miss the quesadilla but there is other good Mexican food around.
Pros: A couple really good dishes that you will crave
Cons: Ridiculous price increases and limiting chips and salsa

I kept hearing over the years how great this place is. Well, I finally got a try of one of their giant burrittos. I was severely disappointed. It may be healthy and the ingredients certainly were fresh but it was not a taste treat in the least. Bland stuff rolled in a gummy tortilla. While a few of the Mexican restaurants in Seattle match those great ones that I've eaten in in Mexico, California, Texas and even Washington, DC, this place doesn't even come close to passable.
Pros: I'm no longer anxious to find out what the hub-bub is about...been there couldn't figure it out
Cons: Bad tasting food.

This place is Really Really good. The food is excellent, but the Quality is even better, which is still not as good as the price! Its all made fresh, and they even give you chips while you wait in line (for to go orders too!). The place is large, and great for holding events.
Pros: Quality, Service, Price, Portions!
Cons: Sometimes Parking is tight, but I've always found a spot even when the line is out the door!

I've been a Gordito's fan for years, so perhaps I'm biased. It certainly can be up and down, however, lately they seem to be on an upswing. If you want a solid meal for a very reasonable price, you can't beat this. The portions are obscene, so...share them. The carne asada plate is a great dish to share and I just had my best ever at Gordito's. The wet fish burrito, which comes with salsa verde and not the standard red sauce, is excellent. The marinated fish is incredibly flavorful, but yes, perhaps over-seasoned. If you want subtlety, go somewhere else.
Cons: Parking is tough
