Just got back from another great visit with Anne- she is an awesome stylist, and i think what makes her really special is that she really listens to you, what you want, and does a FAB job! I already had highlights done, a cut and color- and I'm not going anywhere else! she makes you feel really comfortable, she's really friendly and professional- I would recommend anyone who hasn't found their perfect stylist, to make their next appt with Anne:)

Salon Joseph has a very professional atmosphere and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Jonathan is always up-to-date on the latest tips and trends and uses his own creativity to create unique looks for me that are different then the same old look everyone else is wearing. He is also great with kids, as he recently did foils in my 10 year old daughters hair and made her feel like a princess! Joseph the owner is a master, does an amazing job on my hair. I can't imagine going anywhere else - worth the drive to go to the top of QA! I love this salon. You not only connect with the stylist doing your hair, but you tend to develop a relationship with everyone there. I have found myself in a conversation among chairs of customers and stylists.. It is an amazing salon full of extremely talented and friendly stylists... I can say this because I have been going to Salon Joseph for about 12 years now. Even when my stylist is on vacation, I have found that I can count on anyone else to give me the same style and cut I get from regular guy.. I love this place..

Joseph has raised his prices twice in one year. He now costs $85.00. I come in and he is either on the phone or on the computer. The time before he decided to eat lunch at my appointed time. He is never ready for me. I get nothing special for my $85.00-no head massage, no deep conditioning treatment. I also did not like the fact that Joseph collected my money when I went to leave because then I felt I had to leave him a tip. Mary Ellen placated me nicely when I called to complain. I am not buying it. I think Joseph has gotten greedy and has forgotten that his roots lie in old time clients like me.

I have to admit, I always have reservations trying out new salons. I am one of those people that has to go in twice: the first time to get what I want, and the second time to correct what I didn't want. At Salon Joseph you will only need to go in once and come out looking better than what you could have ever imagined. The salon is small but classy, which I like because the regulars are all known by name, and the newbies are warmly welcomed and remembered. Heather did a GREAT cut and color, she was sure to listen to what I wanted, but also had suggestions about style and color that turned out beautifully. The hairdressers really care about your expectations, and if they feel unsure about a certain color tone etc, they won't hesitate to ask another expert in the salon--making sure that you will get the best quality for your money. It is a little pricey, but no more than some of the big name salon's that are less consistant. You certainly get what you pay for in addition to a friendly atmosphere and a great look. Trust me, go to Salon Joseph and you will become a regular: but don't schedule Heather too much, she's my new favorite hairdresser in Seattle and I want to make sure I get an appointment again! Pros: Thumbs way up. Cons: A little hard to find, Its across from Macrina Bakery on QA.

I have been going to Joseph at Salon Joseph for close to 15 years. It's hard to find someone that really knows how to work with curly hair - Joseph is a pro. He's always open to ideas and also has great ideas of his own. Joseph is a perfectionist. He takes his time to do things right - and over the years has used lots of little tricks to control the wave, curl and frizz. When my daughter got married, Joseph came to the hotel and did my hair as well as those of most of the wedding party. Plus - he's really a great guy. The salon itself is very comfortable - the colors are warm and inviting and a relaxing place to spend your hours each month. I don't live very close to Queen Anne, where this salon is located but it's worth every mile to get there.
