Team Reba has been helping our family with Real Estate for a long time, so when my husband and I decided to purchase our first home, they were our natural choice. Being young and a little naive we just assumed all agents were as professional as Team Reba, but our experience enlightened us as to just how awesome Rebecca and her team really are.
Having very limited funds, and a laundry list of needs, (close to family, cheap, not falling down, yard for dogs) we worked with the Team for almost a year before we found just the right home for us. Throughout everything Team Reba was supportive and we never felt pushed to buy something that didn't suit us. When we finally found what we were looking for, Reba jumped in both feet first and we made an offer. Little did we know at the time that we would all be doing a lot more jumping (through hoops) throughout the next 5 weeks.
It seemed the sellers, and their agent, were interested only in making the sale very hard for us. We had to sign away a lot of standard back outs, giving them the power. We did, but we also changed our bid to include closing costs, and a few other items. They accepted and we all prepared for the closing day. As the closing day drew nearer, the sellers realized that they had agreed to pay our closing costs, apparently they had missed this crucial part of the contract.
So they decided that they just weren't going to sign the closing documents. At this point it was very clear to all involved that the oversight of the closing costs was the fault of the selling agent, in fact, he admitted it. But he refused to take responsibility and fork up the money out of his already inflated commission. We tried to come to an agreement, offered money on our side from both us and Team Reba.
Finally after the closing date passed and we had to start speaking with a lawyer did the Broker for the selling agent step in and take over for the incompetent agent. I guess they realized finally that they were going to be facing a lawsuit if they didn't resolve it with us. During this very emotional and frustrating experience Team Reba was there at all times, they sheltered us from the onslaught of stupidity and incompetence from the selling agent, and in the end gave up a portion of their hard earned commission to help us finalize the sale. They proved to be the best agents in the West, complete with smoking rifles.
I would with glee and enthusiasm recommend Team Reba to anyone looking for an agent who is extremely professional, fun, and knows how and when to defend you from idiots.

My husband and I are first time home buyers and we have been following the Seattle real estate market for a few years now. We're decisive and know what we want in terms of house/location/price point. We have been in touch with several of the main real estate firms in Seattle as well as with a real estate centered law firm, their level of service was not adequate for us and therefore our dealings with these firms ended either after touring with them or after inquiring about a property and not receiving knowledgeable/satisfactory responses.
We chose to engage with findwell after contacting Kevin, who from day one has been able to answer all of our real estate questions and even questions dealing with more obscure issues such as the HUD-1 form, title insurance, septic systems, RESPA, PMI, etc. The man is a wealth of knowledge and for that reason alone, he and findwell are an excellent choice, but the reasons to go with findwell do not end here!
We have used findwell's services for three different kinds of transactions: a regular sale, a bank-owned property, and two short-sales. Our short sale closed yesterday and we are now owners of a beautiful property, which at least one real estate firm and one real estate attorney told us would never close. I can certainly say that without findwell's services we would have not been able to close this transaction. There were two loan liens involved, an HOA lien, a difficult/inexperienced sellers agent, a myriad of issues with the lien-holder's requirements, and a roof issue which threatened to make the whole sale fall apart... Kevin tackled all of these issues one by one, never losing focus, offering nothing short of excellent service, and ensuring that we closed in time for the 8k government refund.
Findwell's slogan is "Full service, mini commissions" -- this captures our experience -- I would say that their service was just above and beyond any expectation, and their refund so generous that it allowed us to cover our closing costs.

In any relationship, the key element is communication and trust, and John embodies both of these in his business transactions. From the sale of our first home in Ballard, to the purchase of our new home in Green Lake, we felt that John was working in our best interest as buyer and seller. He also was extremely prompt with communication, including driving miles to find cell phone reception in the woods of Michigan to check in. His data and analysis was balanced with common sense and the willingness to explain anything - we felt that he was realistic with the market conditions. Hopefully we will not need his services again since we are now in our dream home! We would not hesitate to recommend John to our friends, family or colleagues. http://www.seattleprohomes.com

Sorry everyone, but we can't agree. We owned a home and a rental for several years-so we have seen both sides but after a job brought us to Seattle we were in the rental market again. We met Lisa and Lillian and have had nothing but great service ever since. They even helped us work with the owners to get a dog in a "no dogs" house.
Perhaps you have to consider the source??
Try to think like an owner and work as a team- might go better then acting like you live in a hotel.

Becoming a first time home owner with Wendy as my agent and adviser was a wonderful and exciting experience. While working with Wendy in search for the perfect place, I found her to be extremely informative, patient, professional and caring. So many weekends were spent looking at various places in my preferred neighborhoods. At each showing, she would ask me about my like and dislike of the place. Then she would take those information, synthesize them, and find out even more potentially promising properties to show me the next time we met. I truly feel that she is a role model in her profession, informing the client with facts; providing answers/documents promptly; and guarding the client's best interest. Sitting in my perfectly cute first home, all I can say is THANK YOU, Wendy!!

Six years after Dan helped me find and purchase a great condo, he assisted in the sale of that same place. He had some great and inexpensive ideas on how to fix it up and stage it while I still resided there with the result being multiple offers and a higher price than we had asked for! All that during the start of the Seattle condo slump in Summer '07. He also helped us buy our house a few months later (we made four offers in five months before finally obtaining a home!). Three successful transactions with Lake and Dan Goforth. I highly recommend them both!

Good: Very open and honest. All the negative reviewers need to learn to understand the rental market. What do they expect, Ballard Realty to do work for free? Get real people.
As companies go, this was a very honest place to work with. I rented with them for many years and never had any issues. When I had repairs that needed to be completed, then held up their end up the deal. If parts are back ordered, don't blame Ballard Realty.
Keep up the good work girls. Outstanding.. Bad: Nothing. Except having to pay rent. Sorry, was wanting something for nothing. J/K. Improvements: The owners (sisters) showing some more skin.. Other: Again, those with negative comments need to learn how to read. Their lease agreement is straight forward. If you don't clean, don't be shocked to not get your deposit back. If you rent a car and don't put gas in it, you get charged. Why would this be any different..

When Rebecca and I first got together it all seemed so simple. I had found a place and this whole agent thing was just a formality, boy what I wrong! I had found what I thought was the perfect condo for my needs and Rebecca helped me evaluate the property find an inspector and make up an offer. In the process of making an offer and receiving documents from the seller we found that there had been a “minor leak” related to a toilet. This blew up into a much larger water issue. Rebecca worked with me and the seller’s agent to get the deal done, but as we got deeper into the deal it became clear that this was not the deal for me. Despite my heart’s being set on that condo Rebecca leveled with me and helped me to do what was the best for me. It was depressing to have that deal fall through, but with her usual exuberance Rebecca encouraged me to keep looking.
We looked at a number of condos and it became clear that they just were not comparable to the earlier one so I decided to make the step up to a house. It was a tough market and Rebecca helped me to evaluate a house, understand what the bidding for the house would be and when to make an offer and when not to. She always emphasized that she was happy to put together an offer for me, but she was also very frank when there would be a bidding up of the price and encouraged me to be sure I really wanted the home before I went in on a competitive situation.
In the end we found a perfect house. The offers were to be taken the day after we viewed the property. Rebecca asked if I really wanted it and I did. She helped me to get an inspection the next morning and put together an offer for that evening. I now have a wonderful home in Wallingford and couldn’t be happier.
